well seeing as I've never lived in America and thus do not have the 'insider information' I don't view my question as having anything to do with ignoring reality. I merely observed something and wondered why it is like that....gosh aren't inquisitive people annoying

The Repugs are in power now. I spent 8 years railing on Democrats before 2002.
