Greeting, I am fairly new to the site and to going to nudist beaches looking to get some advice from people of have been before either in Australia or overseas.

Not sure what to expect or how I will feel but I think it would be a lot of fun to go. Any suggestions comeents or stories are welcome. I might have some questions if something gets roling here.

Thanks all.

You should expect to see a lot of naked people. It's probably not going to look like the grotto at the Playboy Mansion.

I assume the you're afraid that you're going to get an erection. Don't worry about it.

Use lots of sunscreen.

Have Fun

ps Yes, I've actually been to a nudist beach. (Too many to remember.)
Yes, I've been to a nudist beach in Australia (in Darwin).

I lived in Cali, where there are quite a few clothing-optional beaches. I used to go to Pirate's Cove outside of Pismo Beach, CA...it's a nice spot.

You can expect to see all kinds of people, old and young, skinny and heavy, and everything in between. It's not like a Playboy Fantasy, there are probably going to be a lot more older people than you think. Everyone is very friendly, though, so if you enjoy being social, you'll probably make a lot of friends very quickly.

Bring activities in order to socialize, like a beach ball, frisbee, volleyball (Pirate's Cove had a net that someone had taken down there and left for everyone to enjoy), etc. Also, bring lunch with you, because you'll probably have so much fun you won't want to leave for food.

Oh, bring LOTS of drinks with you, too, the sand and saltwater and sunshine will dehydrate you like mad.

Use sunscreen, don't stare, be friendly and socialize, and you'll be fine.

I've been to a nude beach on long island a few times...

While I honestly enjoy most anyone.. there wasn't any cover models there...

The key is to just relax and don't get caught up in the lack of clothes thing...Easier said than done

Overseas...they are much less hung up on nudity.

Just get a few drinks in you beforehand...and relax

One of my top ten things to do. Unfortunatley, there arent many clothing optional beaches in Kansas.

Yes - been many times.

Its rather relaxing to go without clothes while sunbathing. Its not erotic by any means, so I wouldnt worry about getting an errection - if you do then (and it is rather uncool do to) jsut turn over onto your front until it passes.

Remember the sun screen - and obviously some body parts not used to exposure can get very burnt - so apply screen to those parts too.

If the beach is well run then there will be all sorts of people from young to old, all shapes and sizes - skin types etc. Just enjoy the experience and dont worry about the lacks of clothes - we are all the same pretty much underneath our garments.

Enjoy the relaxing, liberating feelings.

Hi, I am in Sydney

Hey, Thanks for the replys some useful information.

Anyone in sydney want to go? :)

Hey,

I am in Sydney.

I have been to nude beaches, and when you ask what are they like, the answer is just like any other beach but lots of naked people. Swimming naked is a very liberated feeling, cold water in spots is often doesnt readily get to.

Surely you have been with your mate at night and skinny dipped?? If not, start living and go do it tomorrow night....dont waste another heart beat.

Reality for me about nude beaches is that they are chocka with people who really shouldn't be taking their clothes off in public, so if you are half way decent in shape you will be a stud muffin.

See you, good luck

I live in Miami and we have one.....

As another said.... Expect any and every body type. No need to be self conscious.
