I like buying my wife toys and have heard a lot about the rabbit which became popular on Sex and the City.
Is the Rabbit worth the hype?
Is there a certain model that is best?
Anything that I should look for?

nah... but, my personal experiance is, i prefer a bullet type on the outside only... so, the rabbit was just to much.... stuff... so i guess it all dependson whether shes a internal orgasm-er or a clitoral orgasm-er... lol also, you get what you pay for... the first rabbit i had lasted.... a long time... but eventually died... the next one i got, {the blue dolphin, supposedly waterproof-- they lied} didnt last more tahn a couple weeks... so. you get what you pay for...

I have the blue dolphin and do like it but not as much as I LOVE my bullets. The bullets I get are inexpensive and poorly made but man do they ever pack a punch. In this case it isn't you get what you pay for, you get a heck of a lot more then the $3.50 per (that's at the Lit store - I haven't found them at a better price. Although at one online store you get two free with your order - SeaKap ).

I use it far more often then the dolphin but when I want the feeling of fullness and want to ummm, errr, thrust in and out I use it as well. The bullet is easily inserted too but when it sits on my clit -- wowza!

Yes, my girlfriends and I think the Rabbit is worth the hype, so much so that I'm on my second one (the first lasted 4+ years of heavy use -- not bad for less than $20 total :p ). They're not for everyone, and different models vary widely, so I'd suggest doing your research and perhaps trying a less expensive one first (eBay is great for this, e.g. check out items 9525442357 and 9524712449 ). If it's your first try, I'd say limit your outlay to about $20, and you likely won't be disappointed. It seems like a lot of the complaints and bad reviews are from folks who spent $40-200, and then found it didn't match their preferences, wasn't high quality, broke, or just didn't live up to that price tag.

I've had great luck with the Rabbit Habit/Wascally Rabbit/Rabbit Pearl, the ones with the corded controllers that take 3 C batteries. We like the separate controller because it's easy to use alone and with a partner, provides enough power to run all the features at full speed simultaneously, and allows for minor repairs. The styles with the controls on the base lack power and we can imagine fumbling around to get the settings I want, so we've avoided them thus far. We use rechargeable C batteries, which work wonderfully and help us avoid running out of power.

I mention brand names and am posting pics below because there's a ridiculous number of knockoffs that should be avoided because they are complete junk.

my friend and I both got one, thinking it would do something more than our respective boyfriends at the time, but neither of us found it all that great. Using a vibrating dildo at the same time as a bullet or smaller external vibe does it better for me.

If you're just looking for G spot stimulation you'd be better to try a less expensive g spot vibe. (although Erika that price for the rabbit amazes me...they charge around $100 for them up here). This is my fave for G spot stim. You can get it at the Lit store.

My wife loves her Rabbit. It is by far her favorite toy. Everyone posting above is correct, if your wife likes primarily clitoral stimulation this might not be the best. My wife likes penetration the best and hers does it for her. We have the IVibe Rabbit, I paid around $60.00 for it, it's a little steep, but if I broke it down to cost per orgasm, we're well under a dime now so it was a good investment for us. The only other warning is it is a little noisy, but for us, totally worth it.

I like clitoral stimulation an awful lot, and find the rabbit to be great for that, as well as penetration. Then again, mine can put out a lot of vibration, which might not be the case with most the ones that use AA batteries.

Eudaemonia, I agree with WW that you're likely best off with a g-spot focused toy. I know this is going to come as a huge surprise, but my favorite so far is the g-spotter attachment on the Magic Wand. ;) That sucker is so good, it makes me cry. :catroar:

Have you read the TRY THIS AND REPORT BACK thread. You don't NEED a machine to drive her bonkers. Mine doesn't get hot but the force of sensation is a bit overwhelming. I found that over time it gradually desensitised by clit to gentler stimulation - meaning that my partner had to work harder to achieve the same result.

I only get it out during desolate periods of singledom because of this.

Like my current one :( *sigh*

After browsing that site, I'd strongly suggest comparison shopping, as the exact same AND far better (e.g. anal beads that don't have a cloth string that traps bacteria) products are available elsewhere at a fraction of the price. For a company that should have little overhead and is simply reselling widely-available products, PR sure is marking things up a hell of a lot.
