Thank you all for your sympathy. I just finished burying Itty Bitty out by the garden beside Tux, Margaret, Gina, Lily, and Piree. She'll be in good company there.

Linda did a necropsy today and has decided she was wrong in her first diagnosis. She had bacterial pneumonia and the fluid she was coughing up from her lungs caused the sores and discoloration in her mouth, not a firecracker.

I'm happier with this diagnosis, it was just killing me to think that she might have been hurt by someone and that I hadn't been able to protect her.

Thanks to all of you. I had raised her from the time she was just a month old...too little to be away from her mom, but someone threw her away on my doorstep...she really was my baby girl. She was a half starved baby when I found her, weighted only 15 ounces.

I'm better now, slept 13 out of the last 24 hours. Rest always helps.

good morning raisd....i sure hope things are coming around for you.....i got my puppies all delivered last week and they started dying, was an awful time! two of my grown dogs decided they hated each other after two years of being with each other every single day and tore each other up real bad and lost one of my grown dogs....was a hard few days, just peeking my head up now to see how things are ABOVE the water! lol......think of you everyday and hope you are doing good....much love.....

I'm sorry about Itty Bitty but much relieved to hear this was not done at the hands of some sick person.
It's a sunny day up my way and I would love to blow some down your way.

It hasn't been too good around here lately. I had been running a low grade fever for several days and couldn't figure out why but figured it would either get worse or go away. So, Wednesday evening it got worse, hit 103 and was still going up even with tylenol and lots of fluids. When my son got home from work around 9:30 he took me to ER. Had to wait about 2 hours to see anyone, and then they took blood and stuff and I waited some more for test results. At least, they gave me something that started my fever down, heavy duty tylenol, I think. Results came back as a UTI...I hadn't had any symptoms except the temp, tho. They kept me long enough to give me an antibiotic IV and sent me home with a prescription for pills...that was at about 4 a.m. Thursday I slept all day except to wake up for pills and water. Friday I was awake a couple of hours at a time but slept 3 to 4 hours between wakings, still having fever around 100. Yesterday my temp dropped to 99 and I was awake most of the time. Today my temp is my normal 97.5 and I've been awake and up all day, just have to rest a lot between small tasks.

Dang, sorry to hear about the dogs. I hope things get better for you soon.

It's ok, I figured that was what happened. Thanks for your sympathy. We have sunshine down here too, but I've been to sick to get out and enjoy it the last few days. You can read about it in my post to Goatchick above. I'm better now and will be out and about again in a day or two.
