While I love posting gifs and find them inspiring - there is a part of me that wants to cry because not matter what - I will never look like those perfect black and white girls. Am I perpetuating unrealistic ideals and expectations by sharing them? Or can the ones I post them for see past that?​

For two years, I worked with an associate professor who took pictures of local women, for coffee table photograph books and for glamour/boudoir pictures. The reason these women look as they do is because:

1. They have makeup artists working on them;
2. The photographers use reflectors and diffusers to manipulate the light
3. The photographers use much better cameras than we mere Lit people can afford

Please, don't cry. You're as sexy and may be sexier than the professional models who've been worked on by other professionals.
