((OOC: Closed for Nightfreak and myself. Please read and enjoy!))
Dr. Allen Wright leaned back in the chair at his desk and stretched his arms. The usual noise of the office had largely subsided due to the lateness of the hour. Most of the other employees and executives had gone home half an hour ago; only the dedicated and desperate remained.
Allen fell into the first category, or so he liked to think. He had only been working at LifeStyle BioTechnologies for less than a year but he already felt a sense of loyalty and a desire to succeed there. So far, he'd been a rather smashing success. A biochemist with a flair for invention, he had developed a bloodless Insulin/sugar level measuring device for that worked with almost all types of diabetes and was the size of a small cell phone, and created a new series of home tests for various illnesses.
He was something of a rising star with the company, which he felt both pleased and chagrined by. He knew that many of the other researchers, managers, and even some of the executives were eying him warily and starting to consider him a threat to their positions. That might be because he'd gone over the head of his first supervisor to get the Insulin sensor idea pushed ahead...well, maybe he should have been a little more cautious. But he knew it worked, so why take it slow?
His current superior wasn't like that. So far, they'd worked together well. She was remarkable, really. His eyes moved to the door of her office as he thought about the executive he reported to. She was smart and insightful, understanding the science end of things almost as well as the business end. She certainly had a strong will and powerful personality. He'd also admit that he found her attractive; pretty, fit and toned, and the way her suits draped over that body...
She seemed like she could be strict but so far he hadn't had to deal with that; maybe his rising star status protected him a little. He hadn't been quite as dutiful in submitting his reports to her and such as he should be...but there was real science to be done! He hoped she'd understand.
Allen was in his mid-20's, just over six feet in height with a build that was long and graceful. His hair was a sandy brown, cut company short initially but now grown longer to the length of his jaw. His face was handsome; clearly defined and shaped features with deeply intelligent and emotive green eyes. He was wearing a slate blue button down and gray slacks, his lab coat folded over the back of his chair. A tie of deep red was loose and rather negligently tied around his neck.
