Recover deleted story

I wrote a long 14 chapter story several years ago but for personal reasons asked for it to be deleted.

I would now like to rewrite it and make some additions but I no longer have the text and would like to get it back but I don't know how to do so.

Any help much appreciated.

If you asked for it to be deleted, it no longer exists in Lit's database. Because it was several chapters, and every chapter was likely longer than one page, it's probably not all present on the Wayback machine. Because it was several years ago, it's unlikely that any of the sites that might have plagiarized it are still in existence.

Really, the only chance of the text still existing is if you didn't actually ask for the story to be deleted, but rather asked for it to be taken down. Every chapter would have shown up in your private submissions list as "rejected" if that's the case. If all the chapters vanished from your private submission list once your request was acted upon, they're gone forever.
