Red Heads Are....

Redhead

Being a redhead I dated one once. The three month relationship was mutually called off because we were killing each other. Neither would cry enough. That is a problem with us insatiable redheads.

OMG... I am so glad the conference call was muted because I just laughed out loud.

hahaha.... I'm of course being facetious B. Momma

Glad to be of service, ladies. Like most redheads, I'm a little bit of a chameleon. I can feign sweet and innocent, or I can be an outrageous vixen. I can let the temper flair, or I can be quiet and deadly. My reactions, like most redheads, depend upon the circumstances. If nothing else, we're masters at fitting the proper response to the situation. And the public's general perception of redheads only plays in our favor. Nothing is more fun than to watch somebody's reaction when they expect a certain behavior, but you behave unpredictably - as redheads often enjoy doing.

Hot and dangerous

Sweetheart, I read on the bathroom wall that you like it hot and dangerous.

Hardly... it is when you DON't touch them that they can get REEEEEALLY dangerous...

hahaha.... or depending on the touch.. it could get dangerous very quickly!

We can be a little like cats. We like to be petted - on our terms. When we're finished, we're FINISHED. But when we send "Pet me now, dammit" signals, be warned; we do intend to be petted.

My ex-husband, my daughter, and I are all redheads. The ex and I were married 14 years. I'm not sure how we survived it. My current husband is blonde. He has the dubious honor of living with two redheaded women. The daughter sometimes tries to draw him into our arguments. He's a wise man. He completely tunes us out and won't get involved at all.

My daughter used to threaten to design a T-shirt that says, "I have red hair, PMS, and an attitude - and I know how to use all three." I used to tell her, yes, so do I, and I have 28 years of experience on you. Want to play? She wisely backed down. LOL

Smart girl...

I'm not just a redhead; I'm a redheaded Scorpio. My emotions rule - whether I want them to or not. (Trust me when I say, I do NOT want them to rule; I just don't seem to have much choice in the matter.) I'm not sure which personality trait overrules, but I give to other people all day long. At the same time, it's hard for me to allow other people to get close enough to return that favor. I'm the one that everybody comes to with their troubles. They know I'll listen non-judgmentally, give sound advice if that's what they want/need, and what they tell me won't go any farther. I'm the bartender/psychiatrist/counselor that everybody wants to talk to.

That means I get emotionally worn down easily. I've spent the better part of my last three days off sleeping. The Scorpio in me shuts down when I get overwhelmed. When it goes so far that I show people that I need my alone time, I REALLY need my alone time. I get emotionally claustrophobic. That's just me. That's how I recover. The people in my life need to respect that whether they agree with it or not.

Like I said, my emotions rule. Most of the time, I'm fun, feisty, goofy, the class clown, a practical joker, sexy, and sensual. I tailor my reactions to people's behaviors. If they're good to me, I'm a damned loyal friend. If not, well, we all know about redheads stereotypical tempers. lol It's truly best to stay on my good side. When the Scorpio takes over and I have to shut down, I will do so - regardless of how many people try to coax me out of my little hermit crab shell.

The question is - which mood will I be in today and how should my friends and family proceed? Watch my non-verbal cues. They'll tell you more than I'll ever open up and say aloud.
