Or maybe I am just lucky this week, everywhere I turn there's another redhead! Helping a sick friend, she has another friend that I spend an hour flirting with yesterday, yup hot redhead. What little blood I had left, they took it today to run more tests. And 4mg of morphine only worked on the pain for a very short time.

Yes, but you need fresh frozen plasma and cryoprecipitate more than blood; it probably has to do with clotting factors like von willibrand, etc.

Yes, the anesthesia thing is rough. I had to have a colonoscopy many years ago and my doctor used all the legal doses he could of anesthesia that he could and I still drifted in and out of consciousness and pain. It was horrible.

I woke up in the middle of a cyst removal - that was weird. I remember the doctor talking about how large the cyst was and I repeated the conversation to her after she came in and checked in on me after the operation was over and I was in recovery.

The last time I had anesthesia, my friend put me to sleep. After I got back to work, he gave me a big hug. He said he had to use more drugs on me than he'd ever used on anybody in his career, and it scared the shit out of him. I didn't remember waking up in the OR, but when I woke in recovery, I went from sound asleep to wide awake in no time flat. I remember smelling the anesthesia gases on my breath. I don't want to know how much he had to use to keep me asleep.

I slept through the surgery, and I woke up afterwards, so I'd say he did a helluva good job.
