My dad was a redhead, but he wasn't your stereotypical redhead. Mom was the hothead of our family. Like your dad, my dad set the bar high for the men in my life. I was and always will be "Daddy's girl."

It's a wonder my ex and I made it out of our marriage alive. LOL My husband now is a blonde Taurus. He's stubborn as hell, but it's hard to make him truly angry. Luckily for us, my temper is fast and explosive, but it's over as quickly as it began. By the time he decides he's angry, I'm long over it. We're almost never angry at the same time. It works out well for us.

Daddy only had one question for hubby, "Will you take care of her car for her because she won't do it herself?" Hubby assured him that yes, he'd take care of my car. That was really Daddy code for will you take care of my little girl? Less than two weeks after we got married, Daddy passed away. I think he knew that I had somebody who would take care of me and that he wouldn't have to worry.

True to his word, hubby takes care of my car - and of me. lol Even more importantly, he's been a helluva dad to my daughter.

Redheads are loyal, but we can sometimes be hard to handle. As my sig line says, it takes a real man to handle a redhead. My husband handles two of us - and makes it look easy.

That's awesome he at least got to tell you Pop that he would take care of you though!! That's really sweet!! Fortunately, my old man taught me how to change my own oil But like you, he didn't get to meet my prince charming.... and sometimes I wonder if that was for the best, cause I think my Dad would have chewed him up and spit him out.

And like you..... I'm glad to have run into an 'off red' who can handle this every day craziness he calls a wife lol Lord help him we have a girl like myself. I think there might be a reason why my man has the patience of a saint.
