Rejection

And while I'm at it, from what I remember, that post was the OP of the thread. Simply deleting it presents other problems which vary by software, but will include a string of posts that make absolutely no sense if the capability to remove the OP only exists.

The easiest, and most coherent way to deal with it is to edit the rule breaking content out, and replace it with a warning about whatever rule was broken. The posts that follow still may not make any sense, but at least you can see there was something there they were responding to, instead of it seemingly coming out of thin air.

If that's indeed true both Laurel and Manu are giving "super user" (being able to modify a user's comment versus deleting it) powers to their bread and butter machine to "nobodys"

2 things -

1. There's volunteer mods in every forum large enough to need them. Anyone who volunteers to be a forum mod gets their history checked. New, rando users don't get to be a mod. So it isn't "nobodys".

Editing, modifying and moving comments/threads in a particular forum is the extent of that (Literotica) forum mod's permissions. Making a new sub-forum, Banning users, approving stories is not a part of that privilege. That belongs solely to the site-owners

2. Story-side is definitely not the bread and butter of Literotica. It's the toy store (and probably the web-cam models section) that rakes in the money.

Story is the freebie, ad-free side business that draws the body-count. Literotica has more than enough stories to draw in new users. Story backlogs are probably the least of their worries.

It's frustrating and feels wrong, but it is what it is.

But it’s not just noobs. It’s unhelpful to dismiss the recent problems as just affecting new writers. It’s affecting people who have been here for years, published dozens of stories, and won special and monthly comps.

The winner of the Halloween Comp is stuck. Winners of the previous two comps were stuck for weeks. Site fixtures have got stuck. One of the best new writes of Lesbian has left.

I’m sure your side job is very frustrating - it comes across in what you write - but you are mischaracteizing recent events.

You're right. I apologise.

There are people here who are passionate about their stories being published and seen. Something about being blamed for things beyond my control probably lit the fuse.

Also, apologies to OP @Nazgul1716 for hijacking your thread.

The way I see it, it all comes down to understanding whether the positive still outweighs the negative on Lit for each one of us individually.

The deaf and mute admins, the tired mods, the technical problems with stories, with the AI-screening, the lack of adjustment to the new realities... all these things aren't going anywhere. They are an integral part of Lit and will be for the foreseeable future.

So are the positive sides, the readership, the exposure, the AH(?), and whatever else works for you here, enough to compensate for the downsides? It really is as simple as that. And each of us has to answer that question for ourselves.

Thank you - you have no idea how rare such grace is around here. I appreciate it more for its rarity.

Hi AwkwardMD,

Thank you for all the support during this weird thread, but I need help in getting my pending stories published, I'm not doing stuff for monetary gains but just trying to use my creativity to reach out to certain people who enjoy reading and following my stuff.

There are parts which have been published and the ones with the people who I raised a issue with are still pending without any reason.

If you can try and do something to help me, then I personally will try to give you a story of something that can be posted under your name and you can choose your own grammar to make it right.

Sorry there's nothing more to offer in return.

Regards.

Naz.

Hello!

Feel free to PM me here on the forum. I can't promise that I can get your works published because no one here can do that, but I might be able to give you some suggestions.
