Remind Myself Every Day

Define "not too public" :D That would depend on your daily routine, if you live alone, and who can (as in allowed) see them or not. You can, for instance also find phrases and goals like that and put oneliners in your outlook agenda like they are appointments with reminders so one pops up every day or week. Of course you need to use an outlook agenda first and on a regular basis :p

You can print (or write) small notes and stick them on (or in, on pots, cartons and boxes for instance :D ) your fridge. When you share a house and your partner thinks it's a great idea too you can randomly stick notes on the inside of your wardrobe door, the bathroom mirror, night tables and such for each other.

For instance....

Well I live in a shared house, me and four friends, and they're always in and out.. I do like that idea of a note on the inside of my cupboard door. I might try putting some in my drawers too. Thanks! Anyone else?

Put it in a waterproof plastic folder and tape it in your shower. Put a note in your wallet ( maybe surrounding your money) to remind you not to spend too much.

I've got a post-it note thing for my computer. If you and your housemates login to the computer with different names, it could appear just for you and not for them.

Yeah if you spend much time on the computer it's a good place for reminders.
Outlook has a good scheduler you can use or you can download a seperate program.
I think yahoo widgets have some good ones.

Anyone got any ideas? thanks. :)

Assuming you're a technology addict like the rest of us...

Reverse tattoo on the forehead? Just kidding. Text it in the calendar section of your cell phone set as a daily reminder alarm. Soon enough you'll be able to remember it without the alarm. There's a program called "Stickies" that works for both Macintosh and Windows systems after you download the Widgets. I usually either verbally remind myself several times to do things, even as I write them in a log book, or tape reminders to random spots on the wall in my living room, even if the task, likely repetitive, is already done. It's sometimes maddening if things aren't *just* right.

fridge magnets? You can get fridge poetry sets... that have words and phrases and letters, or just letters you can move around.

You don't have to stick them to the fridge of course!!

I keep a purse calendar that I use for this purpose.

I write myself e-mails as well.

I put things in my computer calendar.

I have a to do list I print out and put on the side of the fridge.

If it's really worrying me I put a post it note on the inside of the front door to look at before I leave the house.

The key is too look at all this shit on a daily and habitual basis.

Fury :rose:

The only way I can get myself to remember things, when I'm at home at least, is to tape a list on my door, partially hanging into the crack so I can't open the door without noticing it.

It might work for you, it might not.

The note on the back of the door reminded me that when I lived with my 2 flatmates, we had a list on the back of the door:
Keys
Purse/wallet
Phone
Brain

Hmm, perhaps we should have put 'brain' first!

What kind of alarm clock do you have?

I have an old clock-radio/cassette/alarm system that allows me to wake up to a cassette tape -- many moons ago when I stil had to be places and do things on a schedule, I would record a to-do list to wake up to on a 15 minute cassette set to auto-repeat.

I imagine that similar systems with a CD instead of a cassete are available if youdon't already have something similar.

I write notes in my palm if I'm in a hurry. Works for me...

trouble is, the obsessive-compulsive in me likes to wash hands every now and then..

in which case, i just set my phone on alarm to remind me of things :)
