Its not about whether it is a good or bad thing or what any one's personal opinions are on the matter.

The point is this site has a rule they they cram down everyone's throats about minors not even being able to be near sex in a story then let this slide.

Then people who know that there is this rule then show up to try to act like this is some type of unfair attack.

The rule is no underage sex. This story featured detailed descriptions of not only an eleven year old engaged in sex, but non consensual sex,,,,,then someone getting off on the story so rape for titillation

If you read any of my posts you would have seen that I have no objection to the story being taken down on the grounds of it breaching Lit's rules. As I said Lit's rules are Lit's rules. I may think that they are wrong but, hell, it's not my site, and lit's rules are a lot less restrictive and hypocritical than some other sites.

My objection is to the hysteria and hateful comments directed at the author. Dark Pleasures calls him a pedophile and then uses the oldest trick in the propaganda handbook, the out of context quote, to justify this.

Does he brand Vladimir Nabukov as a pedophile. In 1955, he wrote a novel in which a 39 yr old man had a sexual relationship with a more than willing 12 yr old (in the UK that is still considered rape). The book features in almost every, 100 best English Language Novels of all time, list.

If a story breaches the guidelines the solution is simple, you click on report, fill in the form and if Laurel agrees the story gets taken down. There is absolutely no need for vilification of the author as happened in this case.

Cite where it is against lits rules to write incest(providing it is 18 and over) and I'll never write another one.
