Not typically...

Though that isn't to say I couldn't, just that I do'nt usually bother. I do some work for the whole Renaissance bits, here and there, of course. Leatherworing is an excellent distraction. Gives the hands something to do that doesn't necessarily require conscious thought.

Impure thoughts? I don't think I've had a pure one in quite some time!
