Erin didn't know what to do. She was openly sobbing now as she saw blood streaming down Gary's face."What. do. you. want. me. to. tell. you?" she asked haltingly.

the woman looked at her 'everything you've done - every lover you've had - every secret you keep tell me all of it'

she moved to Gary -' think he'll miss a finger?'

Erin was a little confused. What did her ex lovers have to do with anything? But she began to spill her guts anyway."I've had three lovers. Two men from college and... and him" she said nodding towards Gary."I live a normal life. I'm a college student... i was here on vacatiob when i witnessed the... the murder. I truly don't know who i saw. I... I don't want to see him hurt. Can't you hurt me instead?"

Erin found herself praying for help of any kind. Didn't anyone from Gary's job know where they were? Some of them had to be good guys, right?

the woman stepped towards her - 'three?' she laughed 'I was told she was a slut!' the men laughed and Gary took his opportunity - he had released his bonds and sprang at the woman, knocking her over. His feet still attached to the chair he swung it into the first man then grabbed the woman to shield both Erin and himself

Erin screamed as Gary tackled the man and then grabbed her tight. He had the woman held in front of then, shielding them from any danger at that moment. Erin fought against the restraints on her wrist and managed to free one hand. She then untied her other hand. She reached down and managed to undo Gary's feet too an he could move around freely.

'you fucking traitors' he hissed, spitting blood onto the floor. He reached for the womans gun and levelled it at the men 'guns down and slide them over' he ordered.

the men complied 'hoods down!' they did it

'fuck - Gerry - why?' he shot the two men.

'grab the guns Erin' he lookd at her then leaned over and kissed her

Erin's body was trembling incredibly hard and her stomach churned at the sight of the dead people in front of her. Gary kissed her and she placed a hand on his bloody cheek. The smell of blood was overwhelming. Erin turned quickly and grabbed the guns for Gary. The quick movement caused her stomach to turn again and she slowly kneeled down with her head in her hands, taking deep breaths.

'Erin!' he whispered 'It's ok - but you gotta be strong' Gary lifted the woman and tied her hands 'we have to go - he looked outside to see where they were and smiled 'the cabin, idiots, this place is a fortress'

he moved the bodies to block the door and walked to a picture, a few presses later and a door opened

Erin looked up at Gary from her crouched position."Why are these people that you work with all... all bad? Are any of then good?" She had no doubts that Gary was good. He had proven that over and over again. Slowly Erin stood."Wh-where are we?"

Gary looked round 'its a safe house and it means most of the organisation in tis area is compromised, but we've now got guns galore and a chopper.' he flicked a panel on the door and a picture opened up to reveal a safe. He open it and took out a small machine gun.

'want to get out of here?'

Erins eyes widened at the sight of the lethal machine gun."Wow" she murmured."Yeah let's get away from here". She walked up to Gary and kissed him lightly. His face had several cuts and lacerations on it so she was careful to avoid those.

Gary kissed her back and grimaced, he placed a pistol in her hand 'its loaded' he warned and moved into the building, practised movements checking the doors until he stopped at one particular door. He stopped and crouched down - motioning Erin to stand well back, then he eased the door open. Gunfire followed and he pulled back,
. 'shit' he spat and motioned Erin to stay put.

Erins heart was beating furiously in her chest as Gary handed her the pistol. As he eased open a door gunfire erupted and Erin had to bite her lip to keep from screaming out. Then Gary motioned for her to stay put and she gasped. He was going out there? She started to tell him not to but she knew he wouldn't listen. they had to get out somehow....

Gary slipped inside the door, fluidly he fired 3 shots at the first man - then he saw the others. One was on his knees aiming, the other pulling out a rifle, Gary fired three shots at the rifleman then two at the other, both went down.

'it's OK' he called and slid down the wall to a sitting position

Erin's body sagged against the nearest wall when Gary called out that it was ok. She hurried to his side."Are you ok?" She asked urgently.

Gary looked up and smiled 'I'll be ok.' he held out a hand to her and as she helped him up he grimaced as he tried to stand 'you'll bethe death of me' he smiled and limped towards the garden, his leg had been grazed by a bullet - nothing serious but painful nevertheless.

the chopper sat on the pad, - a small two seater. Gary turned to Erin 'where do you want to go?' he grinned

Erin grimaced when Gary made that comment."Not funny" she murmured. She could tell he had been hurt but couldn't tell where yet. When he asked where to she shrugged."anywhere but here"she murmured.
