Erin struggled to lift her eyelids but it seemed nearly impossible. They were so heavy. Her head was pounding unmercifully and her whole body felt weak. What the hell had happened? Through sheer force she made her eyes open and focus on the room around her. Grimy concrete walls surrounded her on all four sides, the floor was made of dirt, one small window allowed in the light from what looked to be a very small street lamp. It was dark outside so she couldn't see anything else. Moaning Erin sat up and propped herself against the dirty wall behind her. There was nothing in the room with her. Not a thing.
Then the memories started flooding back to her.
*Erin and her friends had been enjoying a day of sight-seeing in Central America. The day had been bright, sunny and hot. Her friends and her had split up a bit to explose and Erin had heard some noise coming from an alley. Peering into the alley, Erin had saw about six men, dressed like soliders or something, surrounding two more men who were dressed pretty nicely for this area. What she had saw had caused her to scream. The soldiers had shot the two men, point blank. Erin had spun and tried to run away, but the soldiers had caught her quickly, knocking her to the ground and dragging her back into the alley. She had been hit over the head with something.*
And thats all she remembered. Erin rubbed at her head, feeling the lump there, and groaned. What the hell was she going to do? She had no clue where she was, or who was keeping her here. She was sure her friends would have reported her missing, but what were the chances of her being found? She bit her lip and fought back the tears that threatened to overflow.
