That is a good way of telling a whole series of short stories with little or no connection between them. Nobody seems to do that much these days.

Some of the Chain Stories read like that, except that they are all supposed to be the same character. The different authors twist the character unbelievably.

love chicklet's idea

especially the part about chaucher. I enjoy that technique best when it's fully rendered, the way chaucer did it, with each story being told for a reason (to get back at another character for telling a story about someone from their profession, for example) and the little interaction between the characters that takes place as the stories are told.

Too complicated to be sexy? Hmm..

Let's see, Chicklet had been quarreling with her boyfriend todd and she sat fuming as he told a story obviously designed to tell her he had slept with stephanie when he "worked" late last week -- and he kept in all the juicy details, too. Sure he changed the name but who else did they know with long flowing red hair down to her ass and a strawberries and cream completion.

"My turn," Chicklet insisted. The others waiting to weave their own yarns quickly backed down when they saw how insistent she was. "This one's about a woman about my age," she began, looking todd straight in the eyes, "it's about a woman who finally got what she was missing....

Jane goes out for dinner with new lover all is going well and she really begins to enjoy herself the man goes to the lavatory but doesn’t return she is left to pay the bill with no cash and the owner suggests ways she can pay the bill

So you guys like the chaucer idea?

I know that different authors, in chain stories, twist stuff around- but if one author was doing the whole set it wouldn't be as bad, right?

twenty points to the person who does it in olde english! hehehe.

PS, to Fanzee, you like redheads? (curly red hair not quite down my my ass)

Oh, long curly red hair! <shiver> be still my heart. I remember your pretty face from your profile and I see your rather gorgeous body all the time in your AV. Now you tell me you've topped all of that off with curly red hair. That is quite a picture Chicklet. Thank you. I think i'm in lust. :rose:

Love the Chaucer idea. It would be Middle English though, if you want to mimic chaucer. Geoffrey was pretty randy himself. The Miller's Tale is one of the more bawdy ones and it relates a woman hiking up her skirt and sticking her ass out the window so this guy can come along and kiss her right between the legs. Square on her nether lips. He gets all confused: "For well knewe he no woman hath a bearde!"

That story also mentions the phrase "he thakked hir upon the arse astute," to describe a man giving a woman a royal fucking.

I'm sorry, i love chaucer. Chicklet, if you're going to give this a shot, the miller's tale is the one i'd start with for inspiration, IMO.

I went to an all boys High School and I remember our AP English Lit teacher reading us that.

"For he kissed her nether eye"

That has to be the funniest work ever written.

it's up there, for sure. And now that i have the excuse, here's a link to the Miller's Tale:

so in preparation for doing our own little erotic Canturbury tales, which pop culture figures do you folks think most closely match each of chaucer's pilgrims? For example, the Wife of Bath could be a match for Hillary Clinton. What y'all think?

It's one thing to have me suggest the idea, it's a completely different thing for me to try to actually remember what I read in 7th grade!

No idea...

Chicklet

ps - EVERYBODY! GUESS WHAT! I GOT GLASSES TODAY AND NOW I CAN SEE THE SCREEN!

sweet! I hope you don't see anything that scares you off.:)

guess i will have to work on that erotic canterbury tales myself. I'm up for laying on a good thakking anyway.

canterbury tales setting

so where should this be set? The idea of a denny's crew (remember that way back in this thread) doesn't really work, i don't think. They're supposed to be "pilgrims," all traveling to the same place. We don't have to take that literally but i'd like to at least get the feel of bringing together folks from different walks of life and sharing their ideas, sometimes kindly, sometimes not.

Ideas?

Why does everybody want to use me in a story? I'm not a character, I'm a real human creature!

i don't want to right you as a character (sorry pls) for exactly that reason.

Well, whenever your head decides it's time to float away, I promise I'll be there with my b.b. gun to shoot it back down for you = )

beautiful new AV Chicklet.

And i'll thank you for it. Hey did you decide to pick up any of the bits of story line in this thread and run with them?

p.s.: you couldn't be more adorable in your new avatar pick.
:rose: :rose: :rose:

Yes, I'm going to use the restaraunt idea in my next story - I'll keep this thread posted on when it'll be out (in other words, when I finally get around to finishing it, I'll post here)

ok, i'll look forward to that. I read another one of your stories. I'll pm you about it.
