I don't spend money I don't have, but I have what's known as Guitar Acquisition Syndrome (GAS). I have so many damned instruments. 20+ guitars. And they cost a lot. And I always want more. The moment I get one, I love it. And I want another. It isn't that I'm unhappy with what I got. It's that I'm so happy, I want another.

Bad case of GAS.

No metaphor. Literally guitars. Basses. I have two cellos and I barely play- like, I’m no good at all. A banjo. Bagpipes (ugh). Bowed psaltry. Piano.

Some, and sometimes. Not everything goes with everything so it can be tricky. I have pieces that I've not worn in years, and some I take apart and redesign them into something new, which is always fun.

Same thing with my guitars... I have lots of different ones that I don't use all the time. But certain kinds of music require certain kinds of guitars. You can't use the same guitar for each type of music.

I have a couple of times in the karaoke thread. I'm a much better guitarist than singer. In fact, I don't consider myself a singer at all. I don't like the way I sing. But it was a karaoke thread, not an instrumental thread. Not much of a display of guitar work, as they're simple songs. Here are some links:

Well Pmann, I didn't think we had anything in common. I don't have GAS. But I have a tool problem.

Er, that is I spend way to much time and money on my tool. Er, tools. Let's talk about my hammer. That is the 9 claw hammers I own. Four tape measures. 40+ assorted screwdrivers, seven hand planes. Multiple cordless drills, circular saws, jigsaws, squares, socket sets.

Don't get me started on levels...

They know me by name at Home Depot. I have Lee Valley on speed dial.

Of course, this is all in aid of working my wood...
