One Christmas I was in a pub. I heard some ladies mention an unusual first name. Ten years previously I had heard two acquaintances saying that someone of that name was the most attractive woman they knew.

On autopilot I said her full name out loud and the ladies turned to me, with one saying “OMG how do you know her, she’s been back in 10 years …OMG I’ll get her!!” And before I could stop her she was gone!

Soon after I was having a conversation that went
“Erm …do I actually know you?”
“Erm …that would be a no”
“I’m so confused”

But we got on so well. And a week later I took up her offer to visit her in her home city.

And those acquaintances 10 years before were right. A delightful human.
