I watch as Mari makes her way to the door the collar of her coat pulled up against the chill night wind. The soft warmth of her lips lingering on mine. As I turn Phoo Ming is standing in the door of the kitchen a sad little smile on his old wrinkled face.

Ah so I see.

Phoo Ming turns a dish towel over his shoulder and the kitchen door closes behind him.

I settle by the fire all the lights out except the one by the coffee pot on the bar. The erry red glow of the hearth giving a subdued effect to the Inn.

Well, now that the inner woman has been fed, I have returned to find the inn dimmed. there are shadows everywhere and i cant tell whats who

So is anyone still in here somewheres? if so, could ya sing out before i trip on you?

making my way behind the bar i grab some coffee and then pick my way through the dim inn to the fire, sitting down, i prop my chin in my hands and stare at Cg with a very serious expression

Didnt you know that doing to much thinking kills brain cells? and brain cells dont grow back...

You seem a bit down or something tonight Cg, anything i can do?

My hand reaches up out of the dark and I grip Untamed’s hand and give it a squeeze.

Nah nothing you can do just a bit reflective tonight is all Untamed.

I stare into the coaling coals on the hearth.

Well, if I cant do anything physical, perhaps i can do something non. I will sit and keep you company while you contemplate and reflect, and you can tell me at any point to either go away, or if you have found something i can do otherwise. hows that?

with that, i plop down on the floor by Cg's chair, rest my head against its arm and stare into the coals quietly too, admiring the shifting colour patterns
