Erika Miller wasn't what most men considered beautiful. She had a cute face she was told but she wore glasses and had a wide frame so it wasn't exactly that turned most men on. Her trip to Los Angeles was supposed to be full of laughter, happiness and spending time with the boyfriend she adored, well now ex-boyfriend. They had been doing this long distance relationship and it was hard but she thought it would be worth it. A few days after being in LA, her boyfriend came clean and told her he was no longer attracted to her and he found someone else. It literally crushed her. For years, she was told she was never good enough and she thought her boyfriend was the one. She was wrong.

She ended her trip to LA early and got on the first flight back east. She took a seat in the back of the plane, right by the window. The plane was filling up but so far no one was sitting next to her. That's what she wanted. She just wanted to be left alone. She saw a man walking closer to the aisle. Please don't sit here, please don't sit here. She thought to herself. He approached and she watched him sit in the aisle seat. So much for being alone. She thought to herself. She had cried most of the makeup off on her drive to the airport. She had no tears left in her. She just wanted to be alone...preferably for the rest of her life.

OOC: Thinking of some flirting, romance....not straight to sex. If you're interested, send me a sample PM.

Kit had been on this plane often and had traveled back and forth from the same destination to the same destination. He knew everyone on this plane fairly well. Well anyone that wasn't a passenger that is. He knew that with a slight toss of his dark brown hair and a wink with his playful blue eyes he could get almost any of the stewardess to give him anything, but for all his talent he had yet to meet an actual woman who liked him. He had met countless women in this pursuit, but never had he found one that could look past his childish demeanor and so the man that hid inside.

As he got on the plane he saw a woman sitting in front. The d at next to her was open and Kit shrugged and decided to sit next to her. She was cute, but looked around sadly. This pulled in Kit and he walked up to her. "Is this seat taken?" He asked kindly. His deep voice commanding attention

In her head, she cursed just wanting to be left alone for the rest of her life but in realistic terms, she just wanted to be left alone the rest of the flight. But she saw a man approach her aisle and she faked a smile. Usually she was smiling all the time but right now her heart ached and she wanted to curl up into a ball. She had cried the majority of the afternoon, there were no tears left in her to cry. She sighed as she pushed up her glasses a little bit.

"Sure, the seat's open." She said, as much as she wanted to say it wasn't. She wanted to be left alone for the near future but she figured she should probably be nice to this guy as it seemed like the plane was getting full. She put on her sweatshirt, hoping she'd be able to sleep on the flight but she knew it wouldn't happen. Her head was racing, she was angry and hurt and she was just an all around mess. She sat back and watched as the last few people boarded the plane.

Kit put his bags in the upper compartment, unceremoniously checkout mg her out. She had a very cute look to her and was probably great for a conversation. Kit would talk to her for a while and maybe he could get a bit of a friendship going. That would be nice. A decent friendship with a sweet looking woman.

Kit sighed and sat down slowly, letting himself relax as he let out a massive yawn.

"I love flying." He said through the yawn. "You meet such interesting people this way." His words were carefully chosen. Usually they were great conversation starters as it made people curious.

Of course she would be seated next to a talker. Her freaking luck. Normally she was chatty and smiling but given the last few days she was far from chatty or smiling. But she also didn't have it in her to be rude so she smiled again, putting on a brave front. The man who sat in her aisle was good looking, seemed nice and maybe he would be good conversation. She needed that right now. Maybe she needed good conversation to help her forget about her broken heart.

"Yeah, it can be." She said. "Flying is sort of relaxing in its' own way." She said as the last few people were boarding. She needed all the relaxing she could get in this flight. She reached up and turned her air off for now, as she got cold easily. She looked out the window for a minute. She loved LA but it would never be the same for her now. It was the place where her heart was broken. She noticed the flight wasn't full and that she probably could have gotten her own aisle but she figured she could use the conversation.

Kit nodded and smiled. "I'M Kit Carson. And who might the vision beside me be?" HE ask trying to be , maybe he could get her to laugh. He watched her feeling very attracted to her. She had that lost puppy look in her eyes. You know the ones. Big sad eyes that just made you want to take her home and make everything better.

"And where might you be headed?" He asked smiling.

She couldn't help but laugh softly at what he said. It was the first time she had laughed ever since her then boyfriend broke up with her just a few short days ago. "Pleasure to meet you Kit." She reached her hand over, shaking his hand. "The name's Erika Miller." She smiled a little bit. Maybe this flight wouldn't be terrible. Maybe all she needed was to get her mind off that last few terrible days. Her heart was hurting but she wasn't going to let the asshole who broke her heart ruin her trip home too.

"I'm headed back to Boston. It'll be nice to finally be home." She said. She wanted to fly out last night and be home in her bed, away from the heartbreak that was LA but all the flights were full. "And you?"

Kit smiled and shrugged. "Buisness trip. I go to Boston for one meeting then Chicago for another. This is my daily commute." He said with a small sigh. He glanced her way. It was nice to hear her laugh. She had a very nice little laugh that made Kit very happy. He wanted to hear it again and immediately thought of different ways of doing it, but soon the Stewardess walked up

"MAY I get you anything?" She asked.

"Yes. Whatever the lady wants and for me anything soda related will do." KIT said smiling brightly.

"The idea of traveling has always interested me but I don't know if I could do it all the time." She said. She wished she could just travel for the rest of her life because if she kept moving she wouldn't have to think about her broken heart. She wasn't the type of girl who let a man affect her so much but she thought he had been the one. She wasn't a smoking hot blonde like most men liked. She was average, a little nerdy but a bright girl.

She couldn't help but notice how he chimed right in for her drink. She smiled a little more this time. She wanted to get drunk off her ass but she'd wait and do that in the privacy of her own apartment. "Just a diet soda for me. Thank you." She told the stewardess.

"You didn't have to do that you know." She smiled. "Thank you." Maybe this flight back to Boston wouldn't be as terrible as she had originally thought.

"Guy on a plane. Pretty girl beside him. Yes I did. Your very welcome. " Kit said grin mg broadly. "A diet?" He asked looking her over. "Geez woman your like super thin already..." He said shaking his head. "You know what you need is a sandwich." Kit was grinning but every word he spoke was said with the utmost honesty.

"So anything scare you out of this beautiful town? Or is this information private?" HE asked genuinely curious.

She couldn't help but blush a little when he called her pretty. She couldn't even recall the last time she had been called that. She tucked a strand of her brown hair behind her heart, she tended to do that when she was nervous. He was a good looking guy who seemed to enjoy talking to her. She laughed again when he teased her about what she ordered.

"Talk to the boyfriend who just broke up with me. I wasn't pretty enough for him." She shrugged. She wasn't stick thin and she knew she would never be. She could stand to lose a few pounds but she liked herself and how she looked but apparently men didn't.

"I'm sorry...I've probably already bored you enough." She said. "The information isn't private anymore." She laughed a little sadly knowing that she was getting out of LA as fast as she could because of her broken heart.

"MA'am, with respect. You'll know your boring me when I excuse myself to go to the restroom and I don't come back." Kit said feeling comfortable. "And screw your ex. He didn't know what he had. You know what I see? I see a pretty, young girl, who has a great personality and who seems to be able to put up with anything. You know those "Extra pounds" you probably thin you have? Those are called child barring hips. And excuse my French, but I think that those are sexy." Kit took a breath and blushed hard. He hadn't wanted to say that out loud, but now that it was out there he couldn't go back on his words. He would live with it and if she slapped him and left, then oh well. He made a stupid remark and probably deserved it.

He kept complimenting her and she found herself blushing. After how low her ex made her feel, it was nice to hear that someone, especially a man, found her to be pretty. She didn't exactly attract the opposite sex so it was nice to know that there was at least one man who found her attractive, even if her sorry excuse for an ex-boyfriend didn't.

She found her breath getting caught in her throat when he called her sexy. She hadn't been called sexy in a very long time. This man across from her was a complete stranger but somehow, by some miracle, he made her feel incredibly beautiful. She gnawed on her bottom lip a little, knowing she was probably blushing hard. "Thank you for that." It was the nicest thing anyone, especially a man, had said to her in ages.

"Well he dumped me for some pretty blonde." She shrugged. It hurt to say that because she thought Rick would be the one for her.

Kit shook his head slowly and sighed. "Sorry. " He said softly. He felt a little awkward from his outburst, but he felt like that was just what the girl needed to hear so that's what he told her.

He cleared his throat and smiled when their drinks arrived. He took a sip and glanced at her. "NEVER thought a stranger could be so much fun." His stomach was knotted and he had a slight break in his voice. She was pretty, whether she realized it or not and he knew he would enjoy the flight with her sitting beside him even if he didn't quite know where to take the conversation. "Was he...the one?" KIT asked softly.

"I'd like to tell you that it doesn't bother me but I'd be lying if I said that." She sighed. She didn't even know why she was spilling her guts to some guy she didn't even know. She was much more reserved than how she was acting but it was nice to talk to someone. She felt like she hit rock bottom the last few days and as pathetic as it sounded, having this conversation with this stranger on the plane seemed like a bright spot.

"I thought he was." She admitted. "We were doing the whole long distance thing. It was hard at first because we just wanted to be with each other all the time. But it felt like it got easier." She admitted. "We were supposed to spend this whole week together. Go to the beach, sight see, dumb stuff like that." She said. "He told me he was no longer attracted to me and that the distance was too much. Translation: he found a prettier, closer blonde." She sighed. It felt good to admit all that but it also hurt too.

Kit let out a soft sigh. "That sucks." he said softly as he gently put his arm around her. "Are you gonna be okay?" He asked softly. He didn't know why, but it felt so good just to sit like this with his aaround her. He wanted to pull her close, but decuded against it, opting instead to leave his arm in plaace and just listen to her.

"I know I am no replacement for him, but I dont mind if you need my shoulder to cry on." Kitsaid kindly.

He was a sweet guy. She couldn't help but smile just a little bit. Now she was glad she had let him sit with her. She felt his arm go around her and usually she'd be a little creeped out if a man did that to her but for some reason she didn't mind. Out of instinct, or maybe out of a need to just feel close to someone, she rested her head on his shoulder and just sighed contently.

"I guess." She shrugged. For a minute she closed her eyes and let her head rest on his shoulder. "You're a lot nicer than he was." She said. She realized how comfortable she had been with her head on his shoulder. She quickly lifted her head from his shoulder.

"I'm sorry." She blushed a little. She didn't know what it was about him but he made her feel special. And it was a long time since she felt that.

Kit nearly passed out from joy when her head rested gently on his shoulder. He was sure his heart could be heard pounding loudly from the simple contact and butterflies made circuits in his stomach, but before he could do anything else she lifted her head and blushed.

"Your sexy when you blush." HE said softly. "Please. I kind of liked it." He said referring to her head on his shoulder. He barely knew this girl and suddenly he didn't want her to go away from him, every point of contact made a tingle run through his body and made him want to pull her in close. Maybe even to kiss her, but he wouldn't. Instead he absentmindedly ran his fingers through her hair, feeling the silky smoothness. Maybe it was love. KIT wasn't sure all he knew was he didn't want the beauty beside him to disappear on him.

"Thank you." She smiled. He was making her heart flutter in a way it hadn't done in months. He was a complete stranger yet he was making her feel special and beautiful. She was glad she hadn't offended him when she laid her head on his shoulder. She didn't know him but it felt comfortable. Talking with him just felt comfortable to her.

She laid her head back down on his shoulder and just closed her eyes for a minute. It was just nice to have this contact with someone. She liked talking to him. She felt his fingers stroking her hair and it felt really lovely. The stewardess made the announcement that they were going to dim the lights in the cabin. As the lights dimmed, she didn't move. She just stayed there with her head on his shoulder. She reached over and took his hand in hers. What was she doing? He probably thought she was some kind of loser now.

Her hand gently grasped his and his heart leapt right up into his throat and made itself right at home there. Kit smiled softly and squeezed her hand before using his other arm to pull her as close as he could. While the lights were down he slowly continued to stroke her yair. Gently pulling it every now and then.

He had a long mental battle going on about her. This stranger he met until finaly he bent her head back just a bit and kissed her on the lips. He pullead back slowly, blushing furiously as he glanced away. "Sorry." he mumbled.

Her heart was racing and she didn't even know why. She was cuddling up to this complete stranger and it felt so nice. It felt nice to be around someone who thought was she was pretty. He made her blush and smile, something her now ex boyfriend hadn't done in a long time. She felt him hold her closer and his arms were strong yet gentle. She felt the way he stroked her hair and it felt lovely and relaxing. So much so that she was pretty sure she could have fallen asleep in his arms right there.

He took her by surprise when he tilted her head up a little and kissed her lips. It was a quick, soft kiss but it made her heart race. It felt like her heart was caught in her throat. She knew after they landed a few hours from now, she'd never see this man again so she wanted to take a risk. She was never big on taking risks.

For some reason, she threw caution to the wind. She reached up with her other hand, putting her hand on his cheek. She brushed her lips against his softly, loving the way it felt.

His heart caught in his throat again and he smiled when she put her arm around his neck and brushed his lips with her own. He let out a soft sigh and pulled back.

"Hey. When he land how about you and I get a drink together." Before she could answer though he pulled her in for another kiss, this one deep and long. He held the kiss for as long as she would let him before pulling back and catching his breath. He squeezed her up as close to him as he could, kissing her nose, cheeks, and chin while waited for an answer. The whole to adoring the way he soft skin felt under his lips.

She found herself giggling as he kissed her nose and chin. He didn't even know her yet he was kissing on her. She was blushing and smiling at the same time. She was trying not to giggle because people around them were trying to sleep on the flight. The way he kissed her, deep and long, it was enough to make her world move. After the heartbreak she felt just a short few days ago, she never expected to be able to smile like this so soon...let alone with a complete stranger.

"I'd like that a lot, Kit." She smiled before kissing his lips again softly. She settled into his arms. This was kind of crazy, they were strangers yet here she was, basically snuggled up against him. Maybe her boyfriend breaking up with her had been a good thing. Only time would tell.

grinned broadly used the arm around her to squeeze her and pull her closer still. Almost wishing she was astride his lap, but not making it happen. Instead he just squeezed her and kissed her again before pulling away. "Now go to sleep flower." He said softly.

He had dated or anything in so long that this all felt like uncharted territory. He had to be careful not to screw anything, even though he had no doubt that he would somehow. His stomach and leaping in his throat and his heart was pounding so loud he was sure the whole plane could hear it, but he liked this girl and if they did it wouldn't matter to him

She couldn't believe how comfortable she felt with this complete stranger. But somehow he made her feel comfortable and at ease. The heartbreak of her now ex-boyfriend stomping on her heart no longer mattered. She blushed as he called her flower. She was tired, it had been an exhausting few days.

"Only for a little while..." She murmured to him before she rested her head against his shoulder. In a matter of minutes, she was asleep with her head on his shoulder. She slept the remainder of the flight and the only thing that jolted her was the plane hitting the ground. She woke up a little sleepily, smoothing out here hair.

"Hey..." She smiled. Had she dreamed the whole thing? She hoped not. She liked this guy and she wanted to see where things would go for them.
