Hey how is everyone today? Basically what I am asking you is for an idea, for a romantic day for my girlfriend. We have been dating for a year now, She is 17 and goes to school but after school today I would love to plan something fun and romantic for her. I am always doing things to suprise her and show her how much I truly love her.....sometimes I buy roses out of the blue and give them to her, I write her love letters and put them in places were she will find them. I love to do different things to show her how much I love her.

But right now I am in need of some new ways to spoil her and show her how much i appreciate her. So if any guys have any cool ideas, or even the women please let me know...thanks guys

Get into her house when she isn't there and leave a box of chocolates on her bed. It'll be creepy and enduring at the same time!

Er... maybe not though.

first, welcome to lit!

second: OK, there's many many ways you can do this. i'm assuming that you're 18 or so and don't have loads of cash to blow on this so i'm going the low maintenance route.

if the weather's nice, what about a picnic? bring along some tunes, sit outside someplace nice and enjoy the weather (assuming it's nice out), pack some cold fried chicken, fruit, etc?

the roses, and love letters: very cool! hey, what if you led her on a little treasure hunt in the area of the picnic? she has to find each of the clues (more love letters w/ hints) until she gets to something nice, like maybe some flowers or something like that?

Skip the breaking in part. Please skip that. ;)

Ok, what you can do, assuming you have enough money to do it, is to reserve a table at a nice restaurant, order her a dozen or 3 roses and have them delivered to her. Mushy note is mandatory thank you. ;)

After that, well you know the standard date that does not end with you in the doghouse routine. I mean as much as you like dogs or the doghouse, never can tell with you guys, be sweet and caring and not looking at other woman, make her feel really loved. If you don't know how to do that, prepare to be single forever. :p

Well, if the strat in your name is alluding to the famous guitar, writing a love song is always well received - if she's just 17 serenading in front of her window might be well received by her but probably not her parents.

Being inventive and creative helps a lot - a custom made token of your love could prove to be superior to anything fancy and expensive you could buy. It's also the little things that can make a difference - a bunch of roses is nice, a bunch adorning her door and a sign hinting to where sleeping beauty can find the prince in charge could get a better reception.

Roses are not the only flowers...

I'd listen to her....find something she loves, enjoys, misses...and see if you can provide it...regardless of how small it might be. Shows a little bit of thoughtfulness that hopefully she'll appreciate.
