Cameron bit her tongue while Griz put a bandaid on her booboo. The disinfect stung, but she wasn't going to crumble under a little stinging -- not when he was responsible for her losing the business deal of her life. Maybe she could add tetanus to the list of injuries acquired while he was supposed to be in control.
She just couldn't help herself when he took up the cloth and the needle and thread, though. "All wrong? Are you a member of the Elves Shoemaking Guild or something? Or is this something you learned along with Basketmaking 101 at that special place where everyone dressed in white uniforms?"
He grumbled something that she didn't quite hear in response. Lucky for him, she thought and felt the remnant of her skirt and her blouse to see if they were any dryer. Cam wiggled. Her thong was riding up between the cheeks of her butt and the fact that they were still wet wasn't helping matters.
"Hey, Griz," she called over her shoulder. "Where's the toilet paper?"
His grumbling turned to a low chuckle. "Use leaves. We're all out of Charmin. Just watch out for the snakes."
"Snakes??"
"Uh huh. See?"
Cameron looked where he was pointing and swore. There was a squiggly outline in the soft earth that was obviously the track of a snake. Son of a bitch! She hadn't even noticed that. Maybe he wasn't such a dummy after all.
