On an alternative note, I just downloaded the 59 second trailer for Star Ocean 3, and I'm so pumped. I watched it like three times. I swear, I want this game so bad.

You finally get to go to Earth! In the future! Woo!

I have no freaking clue. It was a 59 second trailer.

But I know the Earthlings are one of the more technologically advanced species. And I don't know if there are any non-humanoid species that have been encountered.

Star Ocean 2 takes place on the planet of Expel, and you can either play as a lost Earthling guy or an Expellian girl who's actually from another planet.

I don't know much about Star Ocean, but it's about the father you play as in Star Ocean 2, and how he's lost in a planet less technologically advanced than Earth.

You know, I've been reading about Unlimited Saga, and it actually sounds like my kind of game. Really bad graphics except in the battles (just my type of game), pen-and-paper style playing (as in going on adventures rather than just wandering around) with seven different main characters, and really really complex character advancement!

Of course, it gets bad reviews because it's supposed to be really really freaking hard. Like all the SaGa games.

I played Romancing Saga 3 for SNES after the rom got translated. It was really fun.

My all-time game that I want to get translated by SOMEBODY, though, is Traverse: Starlight and Prairie. It was by BanPresto, a really bad company, but it looks like a really in-depth RPG. Especially looking at the world map. Wow. Reminds me of some sort of strategy game. You gotta see it to believe it.

Plus, I need it to be english so I can figure out where the hell I'm supposed to go. I got pretty far, all things considered, but I can't find any freaking dungeons, and there aren't any random battles on the world map. And I need money!

Though it will probably end up SaGa style, where monsters drop no money at all and you have to complete quests or go into business (like in Romancing 3! I love that minigame) to get any.

Pssh. Traverse's world map is just cool because it's almost realistic (or as realistic as I've ever seen). Imagine Final Fantasy Tactics only with changing weather and where walking from town to town takes weeks.

I hit the fast forward button on ZSNES a lot, but it's still enthralling. ^_^

Whew. I just spent two hours in nostalgia, downloading and patching and playing Romancing Saga 3 all over again. It's probably the most free-form RPG I've ever played.

Harid is my favorite character. ^_^

Have any of you guys played the Saga games? I never played any of the ones that came to the US. They're by Squaresoft -- sort of the evil twin of Final Fantasy. Where Final Fantasy games get better in computer graphics and simpler in character advancement, the Saga games have pretty much abandoned computer graphics for drawing and watercolor and have really confusing yet fun character advancement.

Mmm. Pretty good, I guess, but not a lot of activity. Nobody new besides Steiner seems interested in PK, either. And LayZ hasn't answered my PM.

I can't find the damn can opener in this damn house. How am I going to eat these beans? I need the protein! I'm too skinny!

Well, I'm not all THAT skinny. But I figure doing manual labor is as good a chance as any to get stronger. I don't like my lack of physical prowess, even though I'm stronger than most people I know. And it's not really that my arms are weak -- I just don't have much muscle mass. That means when I punch people, it's like throwing a ball that's too light -- you can't get maximum force potential just because there's no weight to balance out the thrust.

I've been in more fights than most guys I know. I'm proud of my combat knowledge and honor in battle. And I'm not even that violent.

myself, i'm not physically buff and ripped and all.... i'm just big. but then again i've set records in the weirght room. no one else so far has quad pressed 1000 pounds....

Heavier knuckles would actually help a lot, but they'd probably only be good if I really, really wanted to hurt someone. Most fights I've been in were just for mutual respect -- you know, when you just get too pissed off and you're both fighting to let off steam. The kind of fights where there are still things you "just don't do" because your aim is the other person respecting you, not flooring them.

So I've never kicked anyone in the crouch while fighting, I'm proud to say.

Though, if anyone actually tried to hurt me (or worse), I wouldn't even think twice about it. ^_^

the fights i've been in were because i've been attacked. i donno why.... lol easy pickin's quiet nerd guy maybe? anyway.... beat the crap of the first three guys, then the next fight i blacked the guy out by thoweing him head first into the wall oh man that was good.
