The airplane landed with a soft thud as it taxied on the runway. The feel of my beating heart muted everything else out. In a matter of minutes, I would be meeting him for the first time.
My stomach did a little flip flop at that thought.
I didn't notice that the flight attendant wishing everyone a safe visit and thanking us for flying with them.
I was the last to leave the plane. The attendant gave me a smile and said something to me. I don't know what she said so I just smiled back.
The walk down the dark hallway way exiting the plane was long. The bright light of the airport making me squint as I looked up at the signs to see which way I needed to go to the coffee shop 'he' said I would meet him at.
I didn't bring any luggage. All I had on me was my carry on which had very little, just a pair of jeans and a tshirt. Everything else he would provide for me. The cool cotton summer dress I was wearing was comfortable but nothing too expensive. My hair was hanging loosely down my back.
Biting the bottom of my lip, I kept walking toward to where the coffee was suppose to be, my eyes darting around, looking at those faces around me to see if I recognized him or could spot him in the crowd.
My stomach did another little flutter...
