Now I'm getting hot.

Satin ties wash out! C'mon!

Leather balm softens up my harness after cleaning with disinfectant soap. Ya hafta buy quality stuff, to expect rugged performance.

Sam, would you like better images of these?
Huntress is bringing a camera to next meet.
She is an amateur but quite able photographer.

Which brings up an issue OTV had with our last meeting site.
I am beginning to appreciate that we may not need the medium of crowds of drunken Scots and tourists to conduct our business.

The fact that Ukin is wont to hire a room when he comes down, suggests a co-op milieu that I cannot say would be comfortable for all who may attend. Even if I made assurances that none of us bite and Ukin agreed to such a deal there are other issues that come to mind.

I know it was hinted at that we might find space at Good Vibrations. There are many details to be considered by both the mgmt and ourselves. For instance: social lube (booze) will probably want to be arranged, the nieghborhood is no better than the Haight, and finally, we may not be ready for 'private' space anyway.

If any folks have ideas, let's hear 'em.

They all sound like great ideas, and I'm usually pretty much up for anything that sounds like it has the potential to be fun in one way or another.

I'm also understanding and respectful of others wishes if they DO have issues with one of our ideas. Seems like everyone else is, too, which I like! Wouldn't want to exclude members of our own community.

I inspect leather thoroughly before buying...If there's one thing I HATE it is sub-standard quality leather. When I was in the UK one of my first day trips was to Soho. I tubed to Piccadilly Circus and walked up a few blocks, lane after lane of sex shops, many of 'em stocked FULL of leather. The shops were pretty expensive, but some of the store owners were willing to haggle with me.

One idea more,

We could arrange the best of all worlds.
1 Find a bar in a nice neighborhood
2 with plenty-o-parking
3 serves what we like to eat and drink
4 provides access to street for smokers (we got alot a smokers!?)
5 has a room to reserve for nominal fee that is semi-private.

That way we can say what we want, eat and drink what we want, park, walk, BART, show each other what we want, do what we want and still have the structure of a public meeting place.

Is this a tall order?

My only real reason for a room is the driving situation. If I had to drive back..I can't partake in the "falling down" stuff..and If I can't partake in that..I get miserable..to to save me being that..lol.

However..I am open to all suggestions..and venues. I am too far away to have any real input into the venue. As long as it has a beer and a licker....shit..liquor license..I am happy :)

sorry about the multiple posts

Somebody needs to make electrons visible already

Stop with the ages..I know that I am the oldest of us :p

No problem so long as I'm not the most ancient.

My two cents worth. Food, drink, and parking would be my top priorities, but not necessarily in that order. I'm not a smoker, so no issue there. I haven't lived in San Francisco for many years, so I'm not sure about places with semi-private rooms. That could be difficult.

Well if I do come it has to have someplace relatively inexpensive to sleep over in. Since its a long drive home and then I can't partake of the grape.

let's consider

moving our venue to the east bay, eh?
Parking, cost of drinks all easier/better.

East Bay

Think Alameda & Contra Costa Counties.
Accross the Bay Bridge from SF
Accross the Richmond Bridge from Sausalito
Accross the San Mateo Bridge from San Mateo
Accross the Rio Grande-no, sorry.
Go East young man!
