Native?

Are there native californians? I thought everyone was from somewhere else. (chuckle) Actually I am from the midwest and my sweetie is from the east coast. She has some troubles with the way the area is....not really city enough. Me, it is the people, I have never met so many people so focused on just there imediate surroundings. I have only been here a short while and I know my way around SJ better than people who have lived here their whole lives.

The weekend won't get here fast enough for me, we might head out to the Renfair at Casa. Can anyone else taste the smoke from the fire in Santa Cruz mountains?

I'm a native. Born in San Francisco, but lived a bunch of other places before finally staying.

As to the smoke, I live out toward the S.Cruz mountains, but haven't tasted any smoke.

Have a good weekend...

Hey, it's only Friday. You never know what's going to happen Saturday night, so there's always hope. How's your golf game? I'm trying to learn. Haven't actually terrorized anyone on a course yet, but have been to the driving range a few times. Trying to develop a swing is not so easy.

Have a good one...

Best way to learn golf..create a swing..and the BEST advice you will ever get..is to TAKE LESSONS. Honestly, if you want to ENJOY the game, get it right form the start. Too many people, and it is noticeable in the USA..play without lessons..and it shows. Honest mate...see your local Professional, you will be repaid by the way you play.

Good Friday evening all those from the Bay Areas..have a nice weekend :)

Hiya, Folks!

Welcome to our newest member, Chevere!
Hi! Have you read much of the thread? Know something about how twisted we are?
Good!
Feel free to weigh in on any subject or start something yourself.
We've been know to tackle pithy issues from time to time.

Nice to hear from the Knottypair too! Let's see...TTFN...
Tender Titties For Noshing? How quaint.
As for our next get together, we'll be celebrating LadySam's 19th birthday, if I recall correctly. What date will that be?

I would like to suggest a change of venue to the east bay. I think a great location would be:

Larry Blake's
2367 Telegraph Ave
Berkeley

blakesontelegraph.com

Map on url above

Access is via 880
take Ashby Ave exit
ramp drops you eastbound
1-2 miles
left (North) on Telegraph
1 mile approx

Parking is in one of a few nearby garages. Try on Channing, one block west of Tele. Street parking is typically 2 blocks away Sat night, but assured.

The Durant Hotel on Durant Ave is two blocks from the bar
The Shattuck Hotel on Shattuck Ave is downtown 9 blocks from the bar. Both are warmly decorated small town hotels.

Motels on University Ave are cheap but driving distance to the bar.

Ukin, try co-oping your room with other out-of-towners. An after party there will get my support....

well, I gotta sign off,
TTFN!

num, num, num...

I have such a clear image in my mind of soft little round pyramids topped with pinched little pink funnel like caps....that krinkle and stiffen when nibbled....tummy muscles that tighten and invisible threads running from toe tips thru a vital squooshy nexus below the belly button and thru those muscles to each little pink cap and on to the open mouth, the dialated nostrils, and out thru the top of a feverish head!

whew!

somewhere in the history of this thread, Sam admitted to having a b'day first week in Oct. Which birthday was never quite clear to me.

I shall pm her and ask

Hmmmmm

Yes hers get that way...I have been known to tease them for a long time, taking her right to the edge and then backing off. She goes nuts over it. She was very interested in your post Sufi. Unfortunatly she came down with a cold the last few days.
I made a midnight run to Safeway for some cold medicine. She is knocked out for the morning (I hope) she didn't sleep well. Keep us in the loop as to when and where, we will be moving the weekend of the 13th through the 15th.

Oh too bad!

I am just getting over a bug that has hung in here for two weeks!
I hope it's not as nasty.

I will keep you appraised but I have a suspicion the date once bandied about was moving weekend. I hope not.

Sufi sorry to see you're so stuffy from being sick. Maybe you just need…never mind.

Well, well! How are we today SF? Such a nice day so far, but who knows? It's been a while, but my interests or tolerance of being online wanes and waxes. However, my s/o and I would appreciate if there were simple, but elegant (for a lack of better word) to meet other couples or attend parties that would entail the audience seeing us go at each other. I better toss a penny in that wishing well or at least make more of an effort.

Time to catch up, but would love to get to know you all…well, it's that tolerance that keeps knocking. Life is much more entertaining in person.

Smiles everyone, you are on Fantasy Island and…

Sufi..thank you for the info..all we need is a date now :)

I will certainly be more than willing to host an After Party..but I think I would prefer to have my room to myself ;) Not that I am against sharing, but to have, say, 2 guys sleeping in the same bed? LMAO.

BUT, yes a Party is ON and I will bring some wine or something of that nature..maybe a bottle of Jack D..then all we need is coke..and glasses..and ice. Ice? Mmm..thoughts of the pleasures one can give with ice :)

Ooo, Verge, how frank!

Well, I'm all for laying it on the line, even in public.
I don't know that the sfbac is quite ready for that yet, but I could be wrong.
Immediate saisfaction on that score might be had at
www.thebangclub.com
or
www.adultfriendfinder.com
As for what could clear my sinuses, wifey knows how to clear hers but I'm not into that end.

Ukin, I didn't mean to suggest you share your pink lighter or bed with another man. But you might get a double with NC or Sam and invite us all over to trash it!

I think more than one of us are all for an after-party

Speaking of the weather between California and the UK, I remembered how ready I was to up and move there a year ago when my Ex left for school. After spending all of September and part of October in London and making some trips to Brighton, I liked London more than any other big city I've ever been in.

But the weather is far worse. I know as soon as I get another chance, I'll fly over there and visit her. Deep down I know I'd still be willing to give up the wonders of this place to go live there, under dismal weather, seems insignificant when compared to the happiness being with her brought me. And in another 6 years we would end up settling back in Northern CA again. Every time I've left this place I've always ended up back here.

A few things I noticed about the bikers there vs. the bikers here. Not too many Harleys, I only saw a dozen or so when I was there. There are, however, far more bikers. Many of which ride rain or shine, None of which seem to be RUBs who trailer their bikes to shows. I'd feel safer riding there than I do here, because drivers in the UK are used to having bikers all over the roads. Motorists know that at every stop, there's going to be a line of bikes splitting the lanes and flanking their cage on either side. Nobody there owns a bike because they're having a midlife crisis, Saw Arnold on a Fat-Boy in T2 and decided they had to have one to be the wildman they wished they could have been in their youth. The poser factor is far lower there.

British motorcycle magazines are, for the most part, better than ours, too.

Their cars, on the other hand...Well, don't get me started!

my all time favorite bumper sticker:

ALL THE PARTS FALLING OFF THIS CAR
ARE OF THE FINEST BRITTISH MANUFACTURE

I have nothing else to say about the Brittish motor industry except that it's a shame and were heading that way too.

I think I'll start a auto manufacturing co.
<< I already have a design for the hood ornament!

Bikes

I know that here versus the midwest, bikes are way more acceptable here. There you can't lane split....legally, and I have had a few cars try and run me off the road for trying to go around them. I have never had that here, had them try and cut me of when trying to lane split, but never actually try and hit me. There is this whole helmet thing but I am getting used to it. Also there is no real drag racing here, once I get the GSXR done I could clean up at street racing (if I still did that sort of thing) I mean I am a professional now and older......Aren't I? Besides it isn't the same here, I was a part of a film that is in post production now that revolves around motorcycle street racing here and it is way different than back east. It was a bone of contention....ahhh well what are you going to do? I grew up where speed was king...I mean speed may have been born somewhere else but it damn sure grew up in Indy. as to cars....they are what you use when it rains or to get groceries.....owend a few I wish I never had gotten rid of, but they are just cars. Here is a bike we built I wish I hadn't had to let go.

Wow...I must respond to the above as soon as I can..when I can get 10 minutes! But I agree..our cars over there are crap!

Ukin. What prompted the change of AV? Trade in the Ninja on a Sporty already?

CF...it's my next one....But I will think I will keep the Ninja too..I went on the Geyser Road area on Sunday...threw the bike all ocer the twisty, bending roads ..did 260 miles..and I will miss that, certainly can't throw a Harley around like a Ninja..well, you can try lol
