I don't specifically seek out intellectual or educated women, but I can't stand being around ignorant ditzes either. Nothing is a faster conversation killer than someone who talks about nothing besides her horoscope or the latest celebrity gossip.

Intelligence shows itself in many different ways. For me, it means that I'm good at spotting patterns and developments, and I can very often predict where a conversation is going or what will happen next. This can be intensely boring! As a result, I find it very attractive when someone is able to keep a conversation unpredictable and interesting - which requires at least some level of intelligence too.

What's attractive to me, is not that someone knows a lot of facts or has great logic reasoning skills - it's specifically the intelligence driven conversation skills that make a difference

It feels to me as if people have lost this skill. I am wondering if digital social media has anything to do with it. But I agree there is nothing better than meeting someone “interesting” and having a conversation about something whilst between the lines there is a whole different conversation happening. Even better if there are others around who don’t pick up on it.
