Just thought I would toss this out there.
I'm seeking a creative male roleplayer insterested in a retelling about Hades' Abduction of Persephone.
Heavy topic I know. It's not heavy on mythology but a general knowledge would be nice.
The basic set up is this. Forgive me if it's a little rough around the edges.
Persephone has gone to see her mother has she has done every Spring but, as the entrance leading to the underworld closes. Demeter is nowhere to be found. She looks and looks unable to find her mother. Months pass and Persephone slowly dies of heartbreak.
When the end of summer comes Hades finds her thinking she is simply sleeping he kneels to wake her but gets no response. Once it finally hits him what's happened. He loses his mind with grief nearly destroying all that Zeus had created.
In order to stop his destruction and save him from Zeus' wrath, Hecate puts him into a deep deep sleep allowing his mind to create a world where He and Persephone were still together.
Thousands of years pass as Hades sleeps undisturbed until a tickle of magic awakens him from his long slumber.
Looking for his dear Persephone and unable to find her throws him into a blind confused rage causing him to attack the first person he sees thinking they have invaded his domain and taken his treasure.
Which unfortunately happens to be a young woman (my character). Too blind to pick up on this being the magic that awoke him. He attempts to destroy her and send her to the underworld.
Opening a pit of snakes, he tosses her fighting and kicking form down it with ease. Thinking his troubles are now done and revenge has been served he turns his back until a thud is heard behind him. The girl sits before him unharmed.
This cause him to try three more times. Spikes, Parana, Stones.. all of which promptly spit the girl out. Each rejection confusing and yet intriguing him more. Never before has the tortures with in his domain disobeyed him before.
As a final test he throws the now weakly struggling girl into a direct route to his domain. A tunnel of fire which turns anyone into ash upon contact.. As he watches this.. final pit tosses her body onto the floor of his domain. Her body limp from fighting and shock but still breathing.
