"I mean, maybe there's something in your blood. I'm sorry to ask this so directly but this might be important: what do you know of your parents? Your family? There might be some secret to that. Or perhaps you are a key to some important events in the future and that is also why the Oracle sent me to protect you. Maybe Badluck wants to control people who have strong powers or... By gods! How could I have been so dumb! Maybe you're a ta'veren!?"

She had pondered the thought about her parents and past many times, but they had died when she was young and she couldn't recall much. She stared at him blankly, "A what?"

Ganelon

"A ta'veren, Ash. There are people walking about us who are sort of marked by Fate. Tell me, have you ever been seriously ill? Have you ever broken something in your body? Have you suffered a wound that would take considerable time to heal? I think that the trouble that seems to be following you around might actually be the disturbances in reality caused by your person. Look, normally the Fate spins our lives the way she wants. But she needs help from time to time and arranges for some people to be born ta'veren, or her helpers, and they are threads that spin themselves and those around them, helping Fate in her job by taking away from her a portion of her work. If that were true it would mean you aren't bound by anything in this world and you are free to shape you destiny by yourself with not a single power interfering. That may be why Badluck is looking for you... To harness your powers, to use you for some twisted plan of his... Not that we're going to let him do that..."

She sat stunned for a moment. Then finally spoke, slowly. "No...no...I've never been real ill or hurt...apart from that time with you, but only because I left myself open to such a thing." She met his gaze, her eyes slightly wider than usual. "You really think this could be? I had never thought...never knew...goodness."

Ash let out a long breath and moved to Ganelon, sitting next to him. She suddenly felt even more nervous than usual. This was all crazy. "Do you mind?" She asked softly, wrapping an arm around his waist and leaning into him.

Ganelon

"No, not at all," Ganelon answered softly and wound his arm around Ash's shoulders and embracing her delicately, pulling closer to him, sharing his warmth and reassuring her about his presence.

"Don't worry about this too much. It might be like this or might not. Either way you have no way of knowing until you talk to someone who knows more about the subject than I. Maybe that witch in Tylen could tell you more, be sure to ask her, this could very well be a factor in this, whether you are ta'veren or not.
Here..." he poured some more wine to their cups and handed one to Ash. "Tell me some more about yourself?"

She sighed and savored his body heat. "There isn't much to tell really. My parents died in a fire when I was very small. We were new to this village and no one really knew us. So the villages called me Ash. I was found huddle down in a small corner of the unburned house...very lucky. No one understand how I survived, but I did. I lived among them for a while, but never felt completely welcome. More like a burden. So one day I took off and never looked back. I've been traveling ever since..."

Ash rubbed her cheek against his shoulder and closed her eyes for a moment. "So you see...nothing much to share."

Ganelon

"Hmmm, maybe so, maybe no. And what about that man who was taking care of you in later years? You said there was someone who taught you things of survival. Who was he?"

Ganelon asked part of curiosity and part because he wanted to help Ash find some ansewrs in her own past maybe. He wasn't sure if there was anything to be found but maybe there were some occurrences that would hint at something to give them both a clue to chew on. You never know.

Ganelon maybe wasn't the brightest of men out there but he could analyse facts and dig deeper than some would care to. Thanks to this he sometimes caught what slipped someone else's attention.

She had forgotten all about telling him that and smiled slightly. "Kendrick...yes. He took me in, a bit by accident. I was stealing from him...after many days without food, I found his little cabin in the woods. I didn't see anyone around and so I snuck in...well, to make a long story short, he caught me red handed." She chuckled lightly, "You should have seen me...I couldn't move, I couldn't speak...there was this big, burly hairy looking man standing in the doorway with the same stunned look."

Her arms tighened slightly around him, tensing then relaxing. "Lucky for me, he was partial to pretty girls and not in a strange perverse sorta way. He had just lost his daughter and said he could use some extra help around the place. So I stayed...until his death."

He embrace her tighter, looking into the flickering flames that somehow made this unreal scenery and story more natural, believable. Ganelon couldn't comprehend how much coincidences, strange events and twists of fate existed in this world. And how much some people suffered because of them... and there was virtually no way to help them all. Life was a crazy state of affairs.

"I'm sorry," he said, hugging Ash and kissing her forehead. "I just hope we don't get separated by her too untimely... Anyway, how are you feeling? Did my... khm... shirt help?"

She tilted her head up a little, bumping his jaw gently, "Yes...the shirt has helped some. I guess next time to get bruised or decide to ride a horse, I'll have to buy some suitable underwear." She giggled a little and pulled away, sitting upright and taking a long swig of wine.

"I have a feeling that in the end...no matter how bad things might seem, they will work out. Just a feeling...but usually my feelings are correct." She smiled at him, reaching over to flick some hair that had dropped over his eyes, away.

"Positive thinking, huh?" Ganelon questioned. "Well, my teachers told me that it's as important as actual training. If you're in low spirits and have no hope of success you just might as well lay down in mud and wait for the end of the world. So yeah, I also look on the bright side of everything. But that doesn't mean black thoughts never get to me."

He sighed and lay back on the blanket he put on the grass. "I wouldn't mind travelling like this for some more. Gives me the much needed feeling of freedom... all the more since I've lost my hair," he chuckled. "My head is actually cold now, you know!"

Ash grinned, "Well, I could just chop some of mine off and make you a wig." She teased, "I could probably use a hair cut...but like you, unless I had to part with it, I'm having a hard time wanting to let it go. Of course...if it goes past my bottom, that's time for a hair cut."

Covering up a yawn with her hand, she stretched and groaned. "Oh I can't wait for another bed and a bath. Seems like that's all I ever think about. Comfortable sleep and bathing." She chuckled to herself and shook her head, loose hair covered the sides of her face and part of her body. "I really hope we make it to Tylen soon..."

When she mentioned it, Ganelon instantly imagineg Ash completely naked with her black hair reaching her shapely bottom and he whimpered at the picture that formed in his mind. It was just too fine... Changing the subject of his interest he fought off the building excitement and said:

"From what I know we should be arriving there tomorrow but all this winding around hills might have stretched our journey a little bit. We'll see." He drank his wine down and hid the jug inside his bag. "It's still too early to go to sleep... What do we do?" he asked with a devilish smile.

Ash heard his soft whimper and turned her face back to him, tucking back some hair behind her ears. Then he sat up and gave her a devilish smile that made her stomach quiver with nerves and excitement. She found herself smiling shyly. "I don't know...there isn't much to do." Stretching her legs, she continued, "And don't you dare think about cutting my hair or I'll clobber you." she joked, slanting him a wink and trying to cover up the flustered feeling he tended to sometimes bring out.

His grin widened and his eyes went all dreamy like and big. His face expressed some kind of bliss or joy at the moment and he looked either like a fool or some crazy trickster.

"Oh I don't know... I might just wait until you fall asleep and then get down to business, working my magic when you're completely unaware and tomorrow morning you'll wake up with a mohawk. Or I might go to some other lengths and weave your hair in 100 braids. Or I might just shave your head clean..." Ganelon got on all fours and started slowly crawling towards Ash. "But seriously, what I want to do is this." He kissed her lips sensuously. "Kiss you," he whispered.

Ash as momentarily stunned, sat frozen as his lips moved over hers. Then he drew back slightly. She gazed into his eyes and found herself blushing. His kiss had been tender, but slightly different than the past two. More sensual and sexual...she wasn't sure how to respond, but finally found her voice.

"You do..." she stammered softly, "you did...oh!" Stopping herself before she made a complete fool out of herself, she leaned foward and pressed her lips back to his. Closing her eyes, she enjoyed the sweet soft pressure, but was surprised when he gently nipped her bottom lip.

Drawing back, she gave him a curious look. "I'm not a snack, u know?" She tried to tease, but was feeling strangely warm and a little breathless.

"Oh?" he purred next to her ear. "Well, you're just so tasty I might consider biting you all over." He kissed her ear, running his tongue over her earlobe, kissing her cheek on his way back.

He sat back on his heels and looked at Ash with sudden passion their third kiss awakened in him. "Gods, you're so beautiful, Ash!" He extended his hand and stroked her blushing cheek. "Your eyes burn so, reflecting the fire. Your hair like a raven's wings. Like some angel from a picture."

He pulled her towards him and lay on his back, drawing her to follow him, starting another kiss until she lay partially on him, making sure she does not irritate her bruised body.

"How come your lips are so sweet?..." He asked breaking the kiss and kissing her again, this time a bit harder only to break suddenly. "Oh right, the chocolate." He chuckled.

A little moan of pleasure escaped her lips.

She went down willingly, warm, excited and curious by Ganelon's new ways of showing his affection.

"How come your lips are so sweet?..." He asked breaking the kiss and kissing her again, this time a bit harder only to break suddenly. "Oh right, the chocolate." He chuckled.

She giggled softly and continued to blush, her body tingling to life over his. She shifted a little to get more comfortable. Staring into his eyes, she couldn't help but loose herself in him. He had a way of pulling at her heart strings. "You taste pretty good yourself." she replied shyly. One hand splayed over his chest and toyed with his shirt almost nervously. Her hair fanned out, almost like a silk tent around their faces as she looked down at him. "This is very nice."

"And it's only the beginning," he murmured, reaching up to Ash and pulling her closer to kiss her yet again. Longer this time and with more energy, stroking her lips with his and nibbling on them a bit and licking them from time to time. When she responded he purred making her giggle.

For a time their lips seemed glued to each other while their hands and arms tried to find the best position for a close embrace. Ganelon kissed her slowly, delicately stroking her body over her clothes, enjoying the warmth they were sharing and the closeness of her slim, sexy body he watched so often. They broke the kiss and looked into each other's eyes, smiling, searching.

Then he kissed his way down her chin and to her neck, kissing and licking the sensitive skin there. Checking for Ash's weak places he kissed his way to the sides of her neck, enjoying the soft gasps she uttered with his successful probing.

"And how does this feel?" he asked, his lips stroking her skin.

"Oh!" She breathed, moving her neck so that he had better access, "Good..." Was all she could utter. Her mind was beginning to get a little fuzzy. His touch was setting her on fire, or so it seamed. Warm, big hands trailed down her back, gently touching and feeling through her clothes, gliding down her hips and back up again.

She moved and gripped his shoulder, as if trying to hold herself up. Her body shivered, the dull ache in the pit of her belly sliding down between her thighs, stiring desire and need. "Ganelon..." She murmured thickly, "This would perhaps be better if you were up top." She suggested and then gasped again in surprise when he flipped her over, quickly but carefully and slid his body half way over hers as she had been with him.

He grinned down at her, but his eyes were cloudy, mimicking her own. His head dipped down, back to her neck and pushed the material of her shirt aside to taste her shoulder.

Wrapping her arms around his neck, she caressed his back and whimpered softly. Whatever worries were in her mind before, were lost in his touch...

Being on top he had more control and made sure to slow down even more. Ash had said there were no men in her life for some reason or other and he wanted to make sure she doesn't get scared. Their passion had its profound effect on him as well and his manhood considerably swelled in his pants but he tried not to think of it too hard... too much. First of all he had to make sure Ash was feeling good and from her reactions to his caresses he judged she was.

He kissed her soft skin on her shoulder and slowly was untying the ribbons that held the sides together, delicately stroking her body with his fingertips. Slowly he kissed his way from her right shoulder to the left and by the time his lips got there her shirt was untied, waiting to be opened but Ganelon saw no reason to hurry with that. He only opened her shirt a bit at the top to have better access to her neck and shoulders

"Are you ok, Ash?" he breathed rather than whispered, making sure she was fine with his actions.

She hadn't even noticed Ganelon undoing the ribbons of her shirt, only relished the feel of his lips on her bare skin, carressing and easing as he went.

"Are you ok, Ash?" he breathed rather than whispered

"Yes..." She murmured softly, threading her fingers through his hair and pulled his face up to herself. Her eyes connected with his, a swirl of emotions. "Ganelon...I...I've never..."

She knew he understood by the look on his handsome face. God, he was wonderful...and suddenly she felt herself wondering how she could even imagine living another day without him. What if he died in battle or was seriously injured. The walls around her heart were already shattered and she lay vulnerable beneath him. She ached for him...a entirely new feeling that both excited and frightened her. She wanted all of him...wether he knew it or not, he already held her heart.

Pulling him down slightly, she kissed his lips, then his chin and moved down to his neck like he had done for her. She inhailed his scent and tasted his skin and made a small sound of pleasure, her body arching to get closer to his...

"Ganelon...I...I've never..." she whispered as she met his eyes looking at her from above and he understood well enough. That was why he was taking his time with Ash, moving onward slowly, showing her what was to be showed on every stage and learning her in return, the map of her body, her weak spots.

He was looking at her with a mixture of desire, awe and respect in his eyes. He would take her as far as she wanted to be taken, as far as she would allow him to take her. He enjoyed her kiss and let her caress him in return, slipping his hand under her to support her as she arched to be closer to him.

Then he let her go and kissing her once knelt up and removed his vest and shirt and threw them to the side. Also he unbuckled his sword-belt and put it in close reach. Then he returned down to Ash and embraced her in another long, passionate kiss, enjoying the touch of her skin on his and her delicate hands as they followed the lines of his back.

She basked in the warmth of his skin. Her fingers traced over his back, shaping and tracing, feeling the harm muscles hiden under surprisingly smooth, soft skin. His kisses left her breathless and wanting more. When he teased her lips with his tongue and pulled her even closer, she gasped and felt the first touch of his tongue against hers. Her body shuddered and she dug her nails into his flesh. Pin points of pleasure burst through her body as she eagerly learned how to love him physically.

He seemed to want to mold his body into hers and she wanted him to. Between their kisses and touches, her shirt gaped open, her breasts still bound by his shirt. Rubbing against each other, as slid her hands down to cradle his hips, her fingers curling into the sides of his pants. An intimate and yet innocent touch.

Ash felt him tense a little and grind against the side of her hip. His hardness pushing against her. "Mmmm...oh!" She gasped softly.

Ganelon loved Ash's reactions to his caresses, she was so sensitive to his kisses and touches. When he licked her lips and then their tongues met he was delighted to feel her shiver and gasp and dig he nails into his back. Small pricks of pain accentuating their pleasure.

Their bodies pushed into each other, seemingly wating to melt into one as they embraced each other closer. Ganelon whimpered with unspeakable joy at being so close to Ash, hugged by her gentle yet strong arms. He could feel hands sliding down his back, tracing some kind of music on his muscles and as she neared his hips he bucked involuntarily, grinding his hard manhood in her side, making her moan sweetly.

Ash's shirt was completely open now, the nakedness of her breasts covered by what used to be his shirt and he chuckled softly, recalling as he helped her tie this. He moved a bit lower and felt her hand play with his hair as he kissed himself a sweet path from her neck to her clevage or what was available for kissing there. He kissed all over her upper body where her skin was not obstructed by material. He brushed his palm over her skin lightly, covering her belly button and drawing his fingertips just under the rim of her trousers for a short while only to trace parallel lines up with his fingernails, making her gasp and giggle.

She was both sensitive and ticklish and as he passed his hands and nails over her skin, she let out a startled giggle, which quickly turned into a delightful moan. Her hands played and tugged with his hair as he slipped down her body. His lips teased, tongue taste and teeth nipped. Her body arched for more.

He kissed a path down to her cleavage and then over it to her belly. Gently he kissed and then blew on her skin. Her eyes closed as she let the new sensations pass through her. "Ganelon..." His voice was a sweet purr on her lips.

Through the thin fabric of his shirt, her breasts thrust up, nipples hard and begging for attention. She wanted his touch there, but wasn't sure how to go about it. Yet he seemed to read her mind and before long, his hands were gently pushing the material away.

She moaned and flushed, having never bared herself to a man willingly before. Her breasts were full, pale and tipped with rose colored nipples. A perfect handful and yet one still bore the mark...a bruise in the shape of a man's hand.
