Seeking very anxious woman for character insight

Dealing with JohnSm123 and dasgoodshit on the same day is a bit difficult.
There's no dealing with me. You came into my thread and accosted me for something that I know nothing about. LOL.

If you didn't want to deal with my responses, all you had to do was say nothing.
Then you get to: "it's like this bro, somebody can tell you all day what it's like to be x, y, z, but until you can say it back to them, you don't truly know."

So why did you ask in the first place?
Because like I said, if there's no conversation, no one ever learns anything.

But hey, it's cool. I think I have what I need.

Thanks, all! I've got some writing to do, so I'll be going this way now >>>

He’s trying to be helpful, hun.

He’s the sort of person who would go off and research it and give you a 2,000 word précis with citations.

Well, thank you. In fact I was looking through a few of the other forums to see what is on them right now. And I was even considering another site where he'd have to become a member, but the forums probably are more amenable to what he wanted. And then when I come back . . .

I am dumbfounded they believe their online persona behaviors would entice collaboration.

I'd actually mind my Ps and Qs for once if I legitimately needed a very kind strangers assistance.

True, I am not a very anxious woman. But I was trying to figure out how you could find out about them, maybe talk/text with one and, God help me, possibly even meet one assuming that interested you.

I'm not looking to meet an anxious person, per se, but if you know a rich, good looking 20yo that loves video games and wants to be a sugar mama, send her my way! ;)

Most sugar mamas are going to be older than twenty. Well, Patty Hearst was an heiress and she about that age in 1974. I have no idea what that guy Steven Weed brought to the table, but I assume that he was aware of her financial situation.

The Hibernia Bank Robbery, April 15, 1974. "I'm Tania. Up against the wall, motherfuckers!"

Wow. I was thinking about a story featuring a woman with social anxiety getting to know her neighbors as part of her therapy, to the point where she fell in love with them.

I was actually thinking about posting something rather like this. Glad now I didn't. I'll find a blog or something.

Social anxiety - which is pretty common - is a bit different to uncontrollable anxiety, which sounds clinical.

Don't confuse the validity of the inquiry with the poor delivery and poorer follow up.

You'd likely handle it more tactfully and, with your history of contribution here, also be given some leeway.

It's smart to do the research if only to give yourself the understanding and vocabulary to discuss the topic with those willing to share of themselves with you and contribute.

Too often the message gets blamed for poor reception when it is the messenger and the nature of, effort (or lack thereof) towards, and follow up to the topic asked to be discussed.

The AH can overdo it sometimes but a lot of OPs reflexively choose to throw gasoline on the fire if there imagined needs aren't immediately met in the particular manner they conceived them which is how these things spiral into infernos.

The level of intimacy and personal revelation some infrequent posters/contributors consider no big ask of a complete stranger surprises me regularly. The doubling down on this when some helpful souls mention the nature of the ask and the general landscape is where things really accelerate into forest fires.

-People regret the actions they didn't take
-There is no output without input

Lol, he definitely knew who she was
Of course, although I'm not exactly sure what she saw in him. I mean, they were engaged, so it was more than a fling. Apparently they met when he was her math tutor.

She got off rather lightly compared to what would have happened to a more ordinary person. Jimmy Carter commuted her sentence even before her first parole hearing. Bill Clinton gave her a full pardon. I assume this song is about her.

How the hell did we drift into Patty Hearst? I have to take responsibility for most of that.

Pardon power pisses me the fuck off

Usually when there's a rumor about a song, it's the least sensational explanation that's true, like "Hey Man, Nice Shot" wasn't about Kurt Cobain, proved by recordings before Cobain died. But people love a scandal, and dirty laundry, don't they?

Me: Male, well-educated, creative, tall, fit, good with knots, Ken-doll looks with Oppenheimer brains, looking to write a new story and looking for just the right gal to star in it.

You: Female, also fit, thin but curvy in the right places, a confectionary swirl of Barbie and Barbarella, uncontrollably anxious but not ashamed to share your worries with the right alpha male. Looking for someone who knows how to cinch that box tie and make you like it.

Let's meet and see if we can free-climb the cliff of fiction together.

Girls that young usually aren't gonna be sugar mamas, if they're rich and young, they prefer a rich and ambitious guy with something going for them in life, usually. Especially a guy that really can fit something exciting that they feel is missing in their lives, at least. Try older and lonely, you might find a sugar mama there, but you'll have a better chance of getting that if you're the fit, fun boy-toy material for them to want to fuck around with you like that. And probably cuddly enough that they'll want to mother you like that to be your sugar mama. A woman like that would want companionship, something missing in their lives that you can provide, and video games usually aren't it.

I leave Steven Weed as an open question.

People with power have run everything, public and private, for the last 10,000 years or so. Do you have, not a plan, but a concept about to deal with that? Because I certainly don't.

This seems to be a reliable explanation about "Hey, Man, Nice Shot." "The song was written about the public suicide of Pennsylvania state treasurer R. Budd Dwyer on January 22, 1987." I have seen footage of the event, but I doubt it could be found now.

So power pisses you the fuck off? At least we don't have these guys anymore. I suspect that had you been around back then, you would have been bowing down like the rest of them - not because you liked it, but because you had to.

A concept, yes, but no plan for how to implement it, because no one in power would ever go for it. Basically, anyone with doctorates in certain fields would be entered into a draft. Those randomly selected, based on need for their specialty, would serve at the end of their current research project (if applicable) for maybe 6-8 years. They would be allowed to return to whatever job they had before their service just like reservists being called to active duty.

Of course, there's no way that would ever happen, unless maybe everyone in power were taken out at the same time by a terrorist that said they were doing it because of corruption.

Oh yeah. I would have stolen some food and money and run off, without a plan, consequences be damned.
Well, yeah, there is the desert out there. You'll likely be dead in about two weeks. That's why all those people were on the Nile in the first place. I suspect that various hunter-gatherers got suckered into having a reliable food supply; then the various agriculturists who invented the new system, over a long time, set themselves up as the aristocracy.

It always happens. Don't like Jeff Bezos? Fine, spend your time going around to various stores to find want you want. Or just order the stuff and have some guy (who doesn't have such a great job in his non-air conditioned truck) deliver it to your door. I just ordered something from Amazon yesterday.

The civilization trap. The distant ancestors of this guy probably figured out to harness the Nile flood waters. Now he's a living God. What percentage of those acolytes are going to escape into the desert? One out of ten thousand?

Who knows if they really had this but: but, wow, a sedan chair on top of another one. Guys, don't drop it, because you'll go into the crocodile moat if you do.

I've really got to rein myself in. I went off course with Patricia Hearst; now I'm into ancient Egypt. Maybe that's a sign that the original topic is completed. Or maybe we need a history forum on here.
