It is the unutterably foul debasement of fowl embryos. Mayonnaise and hollandaise are both disgusting.

Now a good sourdough, turkey, cranberry sauce and sweet potato sandwich sounds amazing right now. Damn it, I don't have a starter going... Yet.

Metaphor or not, I think it all comes down to satisfaction. Whatever you make, however you make it, if it satisfies, isn't that what counts?
