It was all about ways to use Winter squash. Really good stuff, and super easy!lol! I went to a cooking demo last night...I thought of you.It was all about ways to use Winter squash. Really good stuff, and super easy!
OOOOhhhh that sounds fun & you're so sweet to have thought of meI've never had winter squash before but I'm a fairly adventurous eater...I'll eat most anything that I've not had before...except red cake w/ cream cheese frosting on it, or liver & onions (blech!).
Did you walk away w/ recipes, or was it a "so easy" you don't need recipes type of demo?

They were actually pretty easy, but there was so many that I grabbed the recipe cards. I'd be happy to send them to you if you're interested!![]()
Haha - I'm like a kid in a candy store when it comes to recipes. Geez I've been known to pick up cookbooks and read them like regular books. I think cookbooks (esp looseleaf) need to be laminated to protect from spills or in my case drooling

Haha you're hilarious, but I'm thinking you would be more of a sidekick than a follower![]()
Well yes SIDEKICK it is... only if I get like a cute outfit and I get to lick the spoon when your cookin'!
Hmmm well usually if I'm cooking I only wear an apron
Does that work for you

¼ lb. stale bread, cut into chunks
¼ lb. Cheese, (Gruyere, Emmenthal, or Cheddar), cut into chunks
2-4 garlic cloves coarsely chopped
4 strips bacon, crushed
Sautéed onions, scallions or chives (to taste)
About 1/3 cup of cream
Pinch grated nutmeg
Preheat oven to 350F. Scrape out Pumpkin. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Salt and pepper the inside of the pumpkin walls, and add ingredients. Place lid back on the pumpkin and bake on cookie sheet for 2 hours. Let stand for 10 minutes, then slice (like a pie) and serve.
