*hugs*
Thank you so much for the hugs - it's been a good day but the last couple hours were too toxic for me *sigh*

I took a nap to get through. lol.
LoL - that sounds like something I should've done but given it is so late in the evening - haha yeah wouldn't really do me any good. I didn't even make it to the gun range tonight![]()
wow!!!
Gun range......I haven't been to one of those in ages.![]()
LoL yeah I most always go on Monday nights -but just had other matters that needed to be taken care of. I find the gun range a healthy way to release a lot of stress that's in my life *sigh*
Yeah I always find it relaxing to shoot something.![]()

Good Morning...well afternoon, to my favorite Lit cook!!
I tried some new things in the kitchen this week and it always makes me think of you!
I hope you are doing well!

Oooo! I got needles for my sewing machine...finally! I can't wait to start a couple quilts for Christmas!
I made Bacon, maple doughnuts... they totally rocked!
Yeast Doughnuts
Maple Glaze
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tsp Watkins vanilla
Mix until smooth.
1/2 pound bacon bits
Dip the warm doughnuts in the glaze and then in the bacon bits. They were pretty amazing!
I am also going to try my hand at homemade pastrami... I just need a brisket!
Winter is here and I am loving being in the kitchen!

I may try these this coming weekend (depending on how busy I am). These sound delicious!!!!
OMG the donuts sounds amazing!!! Go figure I'm actually nomming on a piece of bacon right now
*perks up* - I love Watkins Vanilla - I use it exclusivelyI may try these this coming weekend (depending on how busy I am).
I'm *almost* finished w/ my skirt - just need to figure out what length I want it - I frankenpatterned it where it's going to be a pencil skirt. Go figure took my measurements - and now the damn skirt is too loose - I guess a good problem to have but frustrating trying to fine tune it *sigh*
Don't they - ugh my stomach is rumbling and damn it I'm too far away for Kat to bring me some donuts![]()
Yeah, my stomach's doing similar things![]()
Well mine is rumbling from the lack of eating anything but a piece of bacon...I need to cook dinner -and I'm trying to figure out if I want fish or something like Baked Ziti..![]()
We ate 2 dozen of them on Saturday... I had 2. My kids and hubby chowed on the rest! LOL I would be happy to share with both of you if I had left overs! Watkins vanilla is all I use too... I have a Watkins connection!! I love all their spices and stuff.
I have never made clothes...other than a cape for my kiddo...but that really doesn't count!

Baked ziti?
Mmm hmmm - very good stuff - this is one recipe I've tried before
Baked Ziti
I may try another recipe tho (depending on the ingredients if I have them or not)
LoL - good for you for only eating 2! I think I'm gonna morph these into a maple bacon bar doughnut when I make them
Oh I love Watkins - I have most every flavour of extract they have (lemon, peach, peanut butter, caramel, strawberry, pineapple, etc.,) I love using their products when I cook
Well sewing is sewing regardless of whether it can be worn, but a cape can be worn, thus it's an article of clothing![]()
Nom nom nom
Mmm my stomach is growling...thinking I'm also going to cook some veggies and pair it w/ some Parmesan herb bread and call it dinner.
It sucks that SO many Litsters that I would love to invite to my house for dinner live in other parts of the country![]()

I started quilting about 15 years ago. I love it. I don't take the time so much anymore, but I hope to this winter.
They just brough back the black walnut too... OMG! I love it!
Bars sound good. I need to get a deeper pan or a deep fryer to do them in. they didn't "poof" as much as I was hoping! Not that anyone complained!
There was a time back when I was newly married I had found a mother-daughter team (I think) and they would take your wedding dress and make a wall quilt out of the dress and looking back I'm SO glad I didn't do that to my wedding dress!!!
Or in my case, the world...![]()
I tried my hand at quilting by sewing machine one time...no comment lolThere was a time back when I was newly married I had found a mother-daughter team (I think) and they would take your wedding dress and make a wall quilt out of the dress and looking back I'm SO glad I didn't do that to my wedding dress!!!
Geez it would be cool to meet you & cook w/ you...it might get messy but that's why they make husbands right?! LoL![]()
