Shadows in Light (closed)

He moaned and shivered with the delight as he felt her response beneath and against him. His fingers remained tight around her hips as he watched her reactions. He licked his lips seeing the want in her eyes when she looked at him once more, knowing he was getting through. His eager thrusts slowed down to a near crawl as he teased her, feeling her inner muscles grasp and massaged along his length as she tried to get more from him. He was sure she was close, his peak just as close.

He wondered if he should prolong the sex with a spell, but he knew he didn't have one. After a few teasing moments of the slow thrusts, he quickly resumed the hard pounding into her once more. He groaned and arched his back as his shaft swelled a little in her, signaling he was close.

"I'm...cumming....SURI!"

He cried out in pleasure as he drove deeply into her eager body, his hot seed exploding into her. He continued to thrust into her for several more moments before stopping within her. Joesph smiled as he leaned forward, whispering in her ear.

"Suri, I will free you, but I have a task for you. Clean me up well with your tongue, and I will present you with a gift. Understand?"

The pulsing and twitching of his swelling shaft triggered an orgasm she had never felt before. The concentrated sensations, originating in her hot channel spread outwards like a storm, consuming everything in its wake. Suri cried out from behind the gag; the muted tones touching into the higher octaves of her voice. Her body trembled and quaked, leaving her form weakened, but sated.

When he finally stilled within her, she gripped him again. Her chest rose and fell with the labor of her breaths and she could feel his weight shift as he leaned forward, causing her to shiver deeply.

It was almost unbelievable. Suri was even doubting this moment was real. Had it not been for the fact he was still buried deep within her, she could have denied everything. The first olive branch was finally offered.

"Suri, I will free you, but I have a task for you. Clean me up well with your tongue, and I will present you with a gift. Understand?"

Suri nodded in understanding.

True to his word, Joesph, whether he wanted to or not, finally withdrew from Suri. Even in the low light she could still see the glistening results of her orgasm left on his shaft. He was not a small man, by any means.

Suri’s legs were finally released and she felt her feet lowered to the floor once again. The manacles that held her wrists secure finally released her and she regained control over her arms. Suri lowered her arms, knowing her muscles would be a little sore.

Last but not least, the gag disappeared. Her jaw was sore and she rubbed her jaw line working the soreness from the area. When she was sufficiently recovered, Suri kept her word. She kneeled between his legs and drew her tongue up his still hard cock. The taste of their combined excitement made her tongue tingle and she grew hungry. Suri licked at his shaft tentatively at first and before long, she had wrapped her small hand around him and slipped her smooth soft lips around him, pushing his length deep into her hot, wet mouth. She loved the taste.

As her tongue flicked over his soaked flesh, a deep moan vibrated her throat. She wasn’t in any rush. She enjoyed him like a favorite wine; tasting him, enjoying the texture of his skin. When his shaft had been cleansed of their encounter, she slipped him from her mouth and pressed her lips gently against his member before making her way down. Her tongue took as much care as she did earlier, and when she was finally finished, she sat back. Her gaze shifted upwards.

Joesph watched her carefully to make sure she did what she promised she would, enjoying the whole thing. He had lost track of their time, but he figured everyone was wondering where the two of them were, since communication had been cut for so long. He soon pushed those thoughts aside as Suri was true to her word, cleaning him with her tongue.

He moaned as her tongue lapped along his semi-flaccid length, loving the feel. He arched a little as her warm mouth fully engulfed him for a few moments, one of his hands running along the top of her head. He took a deep breathe for a moment as she finished, looking down at her. He reached down and helped her up to her feet.

"Now for your gift."

He chuckled softly for a moment as he opened his tablet, rolling through the icons. After a few moments, he found the once he was looking for. He touched the screen as he spoke, lifting a bit of code from the tablet.

"Dragon."

The code flew towards Suri, wrapping around her midsection completely. After a few moments it settled into the form of a dragon. It acted as both as body art, leash, and the body vibrator spell he had used earlier, but had deactivated once her was done fucking her. He grinned softly.

"Maybe we should get dressed and head back to the station. I'm sure they wonder where we went."

The emergency lights flickered out as he pulled his pants up, normal power kicking in. He left Suri to her own devices as he went back to right his bike before heading back to the station.

It took Suri a little longer to get out of dodge. She was reeling from what had occurred. She was still sticky from their encounter and she managed to get her panties and pants back on. When she got herself together, Suri made her way back to her bike. She was going to need the time between now and the time she made it back to the station to clear her head.

She drove faster than normal. Her breathing was still a little fast, and she laid on the accelerator mainly to try to outrun the blood racing in her veins.

She wasn’t sure how she felt about this. Suri was conflicted. Was this his way of getting back at her? Or was this just another way for him to prove he would do whatever he wished despite her protests? It was something along those lines. There was no emotion behind it. It was strictly gratification.

The one thing she came to realize was that it was quite possible everything that had occurred to her lately could very well have been his entire fault. It made sense now. He had been teasing her all this time. Now she had to face him again, back at the station.

Suri took her time parking the bike. When she stepped onto the concrete she released a heavy sigh. She straightened up and headed in.

She really didn’t want to talk to anyone, so she did her best just to get back to her desk. She knew they had been delayed somewhat and she really didn’t have any explanations to offer.

Joesph was already waiting at his desk when she came in.everyone in the office was quiet for a few moments until after the captain came out of his office, clapping his hands. Soon the rest of the office followed suit before the captain motioned for silence to speak.

"You both did very well this evening, despite the odds. Everyone did well on making sure the demons were killed. A few casualties were sustained, but we aren't miracle workers. Joesph, Suri, and your teams have have the next two days off to rest. Reports first though."

Joesph grinned at the news of some time off. It was defiantly going to be a test of his and Suri's future at the Knights. Wanting to get out early, he quickly wrote up his portion, leaving out the playtime with Suri of course. After checking if over, he sent it to the captain before heading out.

He spent his time off in the Elven Nation that made up the former northwestern states of Oregon, Idaho, and Washington, so he didn't know how Suri was dealing with the new situation he had placed her in.

By the time the he arrived for the next shift, he tried to prepare himself for whatever happened. If she had told on him and got him fired, he knew he always had more ludrictive offers to get into. If he so wanted, he had even thought of dragging her in as well, possibly just to spite her.

The final report wasn’t difficult to do. When it came to the demons, that was the least of Suri’s concerns. They managed to get rid of them and that was the bottom line. The report got turned in.

What really happened? Suri’s mind wrapped around every detail. There was no emotion attached to this, save that emotion that fueled revenge. Lust and revenge. The difference between them being he had thought of it first. Suri had to separate her emotions if she was going to save her sanity. She didn’t really know what was running through Joesph’s mind and she wasn’t sure she wanted to know. Up until now, they had a quiet rivalry that generally didn’t cause too much chaos. Suri really wondered where they would go to from here.

Suri was more than ready to get the hell out of dodge. She needed the time to process the whole event. When she made it back to her small apartment, she stripped out of her street clothes and headed for the bathroom mirror. When Suri looked upon the image, she could see the dragon wrapped around her body. Had it just been a tattoo, she would have thought it was attractive as far as art went. But it wasn’t just a tattoo. It was code. Now that the code that had found its way around her body, the source that controlled it was her main concern.
Her fingers brushed over the colorful image. It really was well done. Maybe it was just a nice gift. Suri had never trusted anyone before, and she was hard pressed to try now. She could feel a dull throbbing between her thighs. Even with the memory fading, the body refused to forget.

The short break was time needed for her to rest and recharge. It was also time to help her work through some of the charged emotion that had gripped her. What was she going to do when she went back to work? How was she supposed to deal with that? Her “partner” hadn’t wasted his time. He was out faster than she thought possible, as if everything had gone as normal. Maybe what had happened between them really didn’t concern him. She wasn’t sure she wanted to know.

Suri finally returned to the office, but it wasn’t something she wanted to do. She would have to face Joesph. Since she didn’t report what he had done, no one would be the wiser. Suri didn’t want them to know. She didn’t want to give the department any reason to transfer her. Joesph had been here. All they’d do was transfer her out to some other dig needing her help.

When the captain didn't call him to the office to fire him, Joesph figured that Suri hadn't told about what happened. It was a lucky break, in his opinion, but he wasn't quite certain what else it meant. Depending on how Suri acted, he would figure out what he would do to proceed with the way things were.

He was in the middle of transferring the new pictures to the Sim card when Suri arrived, though she didn't do more than glance at him. He gave her a little smile for a moment, but she seemed a bit preoccupied. He locked the card away before reviewing what footage that had been taken during the last shift. Everything was helpful and interesting, but he just couldn't bring himself to concentrate on the recording very much. He kept stealing glances towards Suri, trying to gauge her actions.

It was halfway through the shift when a older man, dressed in a white lab coat, the more common attire of the scientists who served at the main headquarters. The man went straight into the captain's office, the two talking for several minutes. This caught Joesph's attention for the time being. The captain soon stuck his head out the door.

"Joesph, Suri, get in here."

Joesph blinked and looked towards Suri for a moment before he made his way to the office, waiting till Suri was in before closing the door.

Suri had been distinctly aware of Joesph being in the office. She just didn’t know what to say. There really wasn’t anything to say, that was civil. She was still fighting with her emotions and what had occurred as it seemed there wouldn’t be any kind of norm from here on out. The only place she ever felt safe was in her job. It was her sanctuary from the world around her. Now she was thrust into a position she would have to acknowledge the side of her she had purposefully avoided.

Suri intentionally avoided making eye contact with Joesph and instead, focused on the captain and his guest. “This ought to be good,” she thought to herself. Were they going to get fired? Had someone reported the incident from the last encounter? Suri knew for sure she would just pass out it anyone else knew what she and her partner knew.

She tried very hard not to hold her breath, but for a moment or two, she caught herself doing it anyways. She could literally feel her partner’s presence though she was pretty sure it was all in response to the last encounter. Her perception of him had changed just a little. He wasn’t just an annoying overachiever… a glory hound… an in-your-face adrenaline junkie. He was also… well, she really didn’t have a word for him. All she knew was he was now intimately familiar with her.

As everyone settled down in chairs, Suri glanced over at Joesph furtively. She felt a warmth flush her skin and she shifted her focus to compensate. Maybe he had said something? That was unlikely, as they were both still here. So what did the captain want anyway??

Joesph glanced towards Suri as they took seats in the office, noticing the blush on her face. He wondered why she was embarrassed, but he figured it was being near him after what happened. He couldn't worry about that now, turning to see what the captain wanted. The scientist cleared his throat for a moment before speaking.

"Thank you for coming in, Joesph and Suri. The reason you are here is to inform you of your transfer to the Ares Research division. I know you didn't request it, but the higher-ups felt that your caliber of skills would be better utilized in the lab. Your skills will be useful in helping create new weapons and equipment to help better arm the Knights in battling the demons, especially after the heroic effort in the latest skirmish. Everything is arranged for you, so this little meeting is just a formality. I will be back in three days with the paperwork you need to sign."

The man took a moment to catch his breathe, holding a hand up when he notice Suri try to speak.

"Questions in a moment. I know you both have teams that you lead, but you won't need them at the lab. You may choose to bring one of them with you if you would like, but only one. Now, any questions?"

Joesph was happy that they weren't in trouble, but he wasn't sure about the new circumstances. Well, it seemed he didn't have much of a choice, this or quit. However he didn't want to quit, since things were getting interesting. He didn't ask anything, but looked towards Suri with a little smile on his face.

Only one from her team? That wasn’t very helpful. How was she going to choose? Suri sighed softly and shook her head. She didn’t have any questions for the coat. That was just how it was going to be. Somehow, somewhere, they got someone’s attention. She waited until the man vacated the captain’s office. When he did finally manage to get out the door, Suri was up on her feet before Joesph could move.

“With all due RESPECT, Captain!” Suri began angrily… She glanced over at Joesph who had sat back in his chair like it was some comfortable recliner, no doubt, just waiting for the show to begin.

Her voice rose in pitch, she started waving her hands in the air for emphasis, “Who in his bloody right mind made THAT decision?? We’re supposed to be eliminating these things, not stuck in some lab creating new and ingenious ways of decapitating these monsters! Anyone with half a mind can come up with weapons and equipment! What you need is skill, agility and speed in the field. We shouldn’t be stuck in the back room somewhere. We need to be out there, killing these things and training others on how to do that effectively!”

Suri was always so animated. Her passion for what she knew needed done always came out in the end. Her team, amongst others, watched the display through the windows of the captain’s office. It was clear she wasn’t happy with what had been said.

“SIT DOWN, ATTAR!” the captain snapped.

“SIR! This is a waste…” she continued to argue, until the captain cut her off again.

“AND WHAT’S DONE IS DONE,” the captain added, ending the rant.

Suri sunk back down into her chair and crossed her arms looking over at Joesph. Was she the only one that was going to protest this insanity?

Joesph just stayed quiet as he relaxed in his seat. He knew there really wasn't much he could say to change their current situation, they were just a cog in the machine. Having to choose who goes with him would take a little time to figure out, but they had a few days to work on it. He was a little surprised she tried to fight this, after all he was sure she had been with the company long enough to know they had their own ideas about how to do things. He gave a little chuckle as the captain finished reprimanding Suri, giving her a little smile.

"Since the meeting seems to be over captain, do you mind if we take a leave? I think someone needs a cigarette to calm down."

Joesph stood up as the captain waved them out of the office. He looked towards Suri for a moment, wondering if she would grab a smoke as well since it looked like she needed to calm down some.

He nodded to her team for a moment as he stepped out of the office, making his way outside. Once outside, he leaned against the building, lighting up a cigarette. He took a slow draw as he looked up at the night sky, wondering if Suri would come out. If not, that was just as fine.

Yea, figured that much. He just sat there and let it roll. What a guy.

Suri stalked out behind him, clearly pissed. She wasn't used to being ordered around at will and she didn't like being told she was transferred to a new section. That really didn't go over well.

Suri filed out behind Joesph. She was still seething. It didn't help that this had fallen behind their encounter either. Now she felt like she had lost all control.

"I can't believe you just sat there and didn't say anything. Not even a single syllable. They're going to lock us up in a lab, and you're okay with that?" she asked.

Suri hadn't forgotten about what had happened. She just didn't have a moment to confront him about it.

"You were perfectly content with taking what you wished two days ago," she added. "You cannot tell me you're happy about this transfer."

Joesph listened to her for a few moments, taking a long drag on his cigarette before flicking it away. He looked at her for a moment before moving closer to her, one hand on her shoulder as he pushed her against the building. He smirked for a moment.

"Do you really think I have that much power to have a say on where to end up in the company? No, I'm not really happy to transfer someplace else, but there's not much I can do about it, just like you."

He leaned closer, his mouth close to her ear. His breathe was hot against her skin as he spoke once more.

"Besides, things probably aren't going to be as bad as you may think. We are unique ourselves, so I'm sure we can make things so much better for us."

He grabbed her earlobe with his teeth for a moment, tugging gently before pulling away from her.

"Think of it as a chance to expand our horizons."

Suri tried to shrink against the wall as best she could. She could feel Joesph's hot breath on her skin and it caused her to shiver.

When his teeth raked her ear she couldn't help but to groan. Her eyes rolled back into her head and she closed her eyes as she attempted to gain control over the sensations he was causing. Anything but her ears. God did he really have to touch her ears? Her entire body trembled. They were the only things that were truly elfin in nature - her ears.

Her hands slid down the rough surface of the brick building. She would have dug her hands into the stone itself, but her fingertips would not gain purchase.

When he released her sensitive ear, she opened her eyes again. She wet her dry lips and leaned forward off the wall.

"Think of it as a chance to expand our horizons."

Suri stuttered a little... "I.I...I suppose you're right ..." she said, her voice trailing off. He was probably laughing inwardly at her being uncomfortable. Suri could feel her nipples responding under her shirt. NO! She didn't want him to have any control over her reactions. She just couldn't.

Suri headed back into the building. Now she had a decision to make.

Joesph smiled watching her head back inside, enjoying watching her reastions from his teasing. Since she was probably going to be busy for a bit, he decided to hold off on telling her he thought she should make the gift he gave her more permanent, turning it into a real tattoo. Instead, he made his way over to Nancy's desk, grabbing a seat.

She gave a little grin to him before he could open his mouth.

"So you get to leave this little slice of paradise and move upstairs. And before you say anything, I'm going with you. Mike decided to stay."

Joesph laughed and shook his head.

"You two are sneaky little spies, you know that? Did Mike listen in or something?"

Nancy smiled sweetly.

"Of course he did. And about the other night..."

Joesph held his hand up for a moment to stop her train of thought.

"Everything is fine. She don't get hurt. No one got hurt. I..."

This time he was interrupted by a soft beep on Nancy's computer, an incoming email. She pursed her lips for a moment as she read the email before glancing to him.

"The research department just sent an email paperwork will be here tomorrow evening, for us all to sign. Conference room at 2300."

Joesph nodded and looked towards Suri, smirked as she seem to be a little flushed still.

Suri was glad to get some distance between her and Joesph, at least for the moment. While the response to his physical presence was reduced, and the presence of the dragon was as normal as her skin, she could still feel him, the swift thrust into her, how he stretched her tight channel all under the silence of a gag. No one had dared to get that close to her without her consent. Would she ever be able to put it out of her mind?

Her choice was between Anne or Elsie. Both were talented, both had been good to her. Who was going to come with her? Suri approached her team and sunk down into a chair.

“So if you haven’t heard, I’m moving into the lab, with Robbins. And, I can take one other person with me. Do either of you want to get roped into working in the lab developing new weapons and equipment?” The three women broke out into a discussion. It was what they did best when they were together. It was what made them such a good team. Elsie was better with code, but Anne was good with thinking her way around situations. Suri was decent with both, but she really needed someone to back up the code. The team agreed. Elsie would go with Suri. Once that was decided, some of the stress drained away.

Suri glanced over at Joesph a moment. They really need to talk, but work wasn’t the place for it. She returned her focus to the desk and files. It would take some time to get all of it archived and collected up.

Joesph sat at his desk for a little while, sorting things out. His mind was also going through everything about about his relationship with Suri. After a Hal an hour, he grinned glancing towards his partner. She was busy busy with her own stuff, so she didn't see his look. He stood up and walked over to her, stopping beside her.

"I was about to go and get something to eat."

His next words and actions were done to test his theory about Suri. Positioning himself so her team couldn't quite see what he was doing, he leaned down closer to her. He whispered softly in her ear for a moment.

"Besides, this stuff can wait."

He could have made it more of a command, but he wanted to see what she would do. His tongue licked teasingly along her earlobe before he blew softly on her wet skin before standing up. He left her at her desk before heading out to hid bike, waiting for a few minutes to see if she would follow.

Suri felt a tremble course through her body starting from the back of her neck and traveling outwards. So that was his suggestion for her to follow. She wasn’t completely ignorant. She grit her teeth a moment when his tongue flicked along her earlobe she felt her body stiffen in response. What could he possibly want from her? Up until recently, he was happy to steer clear of her.

She made her excuses and left the girls at the office. Suri grabbed her jacket on the way out the door, slipping it on as she made her way out. She hadn’t expected him to wait, but wait he did. It was a curious situation. Suri pulled her gloves on one at a time before she approached Joesph.

“Where are we headed off to?” she asked curiously. She was suspicious, of course. Any time Joesph was involved, he always threw in a twist in which she always ended up on the backside of the results. Maybe this time, it wouldn’t be that way. Maybe she had learned enough to avoid some of his scheming. How would they possibly work in the same lab?

It almost didn't surprise him that she actually came to him like that. It was only proving his point to him what she was actually wanting, even if she didn't want to admit it. He gave a smile for a moment at her question.

"Don't worry, I won't lead you to some back alley or the like. Just a burger joint downtown. You'll like it, I'm sure."

He pulled his helmet on before gunning the engine before heading out the property. He glanced behind him every so often, seeing that she was actually following him. True to his word, the ended up at an all nite burger restaurant near the center of downtown. In addition to indoor setting, they had a patio of several tables outside. He packed the bike off the street, grabbing a table on the patio.

"See? Just a burger place. I figured we could talk here, since I'm sure you don't want to get rumors spread at the office."

It was about five minutes before a waitress came out to take their orders.

It shouldn't have surprised her it was just a place just downtown. Too, teams tended to break together anyways, so it really wasn't a strange sight to see the two together in any fashion.

"Are you kidding? We're together all the time on duty. No reason for anyone to start rumors," she responded. "Well, assuming nosy ears don't hear half the conversation, that is." she shook her head.

Suri ordered the traditional burger with everything on it. thought she had some particular tastes, she was just a good ole fashioned girl that enjoyed all the traditional cuisine.

She rubbed her fingertips across the top of the table. "Listen, I know stuff had been busy and you've enjoyed your few days off and all, but we really need to talk about what happened the other night..."

She honestly didn't know what to say. It wasn't something that she had intentionally asked for, but it happened and it couldn't be taken back.

"Why?"

It was a simple question.

He ordered a regular cheeseburger and fries from the menu before they got down to business. He leaned back in his chair as he thought about her question for a moment.

"Why...I think you can answer that yourself. Because it's what you've been wanting."

He smiled for a moment and raised a hand to stop her when she started to protest his answer.

"I mean that you've been acting, since we were kids, like you want my attention. It's almost like you have a crush, or perhaps something deeper. I'm not sure what started you off on trying to keep up the rivalry we've had, but you never let up. I never saw you dating anyone while we went to school, nor do you seem to be currently."

He smirked for a moment.

"I think you enjoyed what happened more than you want to let on, and tonight proved it. You followed me outside to smoke, which was an open suggestion. And then coming out, you followed as well, almost like a command. I really didn't expect you to come out."

He reached out and laid a hand over hers for a moment.

"Am I right?"

She thought about this for a moment. The warmth of his hand spread across hers like a blanket.

In everything he said, he never once mentioned himself. It was all about Suri, what he thought she wanted. What he assumed was going on in her mind, why she never dated, why she was so competitive.

Was she so easily led that she just took every suggestion from him? What was it about him that made her want to follow?

Suri closed her eyes briefly. But was it what she wanted?

She never considered it before. He was just her competitor. He was an attractive guy... talented... good at what he did. Confident. Almost arrogant.

Suri opened her eyes again and looked up at him. How in the hell was she going to admit that? How was she going to confirm everything she thought about her? But was all of it true?He took her barriers and knocked them all down, taking her in the process. How was she going to explain that?

"I never thought about it that way..."

He chuckled softly for a moment.

"Perhaps you should think about it more. I can't say I know what is going on in there," he tapped a finger lightly against her forehead for a moment,"but I'm sure there was a reason you chose to latch onto me."

He smiled to the waitress when she came to their table, setting down their food. He took a bite of his burger, chewing for a few moments before swallowing. He chuckled softly for a moment.

"You could say, the other night was the sealing of everything to this point. Or would I be wrong?"

Suri sat there a moment thinking about what he had said. She plucked a few of the fries from her plate and chewed on them slowly. Her brows furrowed in concentration. She was obviously running things through her mind. She had a lot to think about. They weren't exactly in the 5th grade anymore. They had both gotten older and had even gone their separate ways at some point. It was a near miracle she happened to walk into the same outfit he was assigned. Or was it?

She glanced down for a moment. It had all started with some sense of inadequacy. And then she saw Joesph. At 11 years old he wasn't all that special, but he sure knew how to get around people so they didn't harass him. She just wanted to be like him. It was quite clear to her now, she wasn't, nor had she ever been. She had always been challenged by him, whether it was intentional or not. She found herself feeling the same way now, with one small exception. She wasn't competing for the teacher's attention anymore. She was competing for his attention.

Suri wrinkled her nose when she struck the chord of truth. Why did it matter so much? She had been on this road for so many years she wasn't sure how to deal with that. She had compared every guy from high school on out to Joesph. The problem was, no one could be him. They were all just bits and pieces of the whole. Perhaps there was some truth behind what he said.

Suri reached down for her hamburger and took a small bite, chewing on it to give herself just a little longer before she responded to his question. He would of course, be pleased that he was right. Suri found that talent of his annoying.

"It was exactly what was needed," she admitted quietly.

Joesph took his time eating, watching her as she mulled over her answer for him. He was more than certain she would agree with him, but he also knew she could say no. If she had, he would back off at least sexually. However he was going to let her make up her mind before truly deciding what his next move was going to be.

He had most of his meal eaten by the time she did decide to answer. He grinned hearing her answer, finishing off his meal before doing anything yet. He took a moment to pay for their meal with his credits, leaving the waitress a good tip. His hand took one of hers in his for a moment when he did finally speak.

"It is wonderful to hear you say that Suri. I'm sure this will only make our relationship grow stronger."

He waited till she was finished with her own meal before standing up. He lifted her up by her hand gently, pulling her close before kissing her deeply for a few seconds. After breaking the kiss, he laid a finger gently on her left breast.

"If you aren't in a hurry to get back to the office, perhaps we can work on making my gift into something more permanent, hmmm?"
