It's simple I guess, you take a prefectly good 4 or 5 megapixel pic and reduce it to shit before uploading

No, on the computer. One program crops, another resizes, then watermark goes on and gets renamed.

well it dpend on software..which softawre you are using...otherwise resizing even u can do it with paint.
