Now we're getting garbled/conflicting reports this morning about the snipers. Evidently the Secret Service asked for, and got, snipers from the Butler County Sheriff's department. The sheriff's team set up a position on the second floor of the SAME building the shooter climbed to the top of!

The sheriff's department sniper opted for the second floor because it provided shade on a brutally hot afternoon, and the roof top of the building was black shingle and hotter than the actual air temperature. The radiant heat could have interfered with target acquisition. When a call about a sniper was made to police, there was some initial confusion, "yeah those are our two guys" but...but...there are three guns! Wait...whut?

And then they never noticed another police officer climbing up the side of their building to investigate the roof...perhaps there were no windows on that side.

"What we have here, is a failure to communicate".

Without going all tin foil I find it interesting that there was ONE hole in the event coverage by the highly trained and experienced security detail around Trump and an untrained 20 year old managed to find it and take advantage of it.

Every diversity hire in the Secret Service needs to ne fired. Cheatle needs to be fired, and Jill Biden needs to be hauled in front of the House and given the third degree as to what role she played in this. She is Biden's babysitter. She had NO role to play in decision making, and if she did, another example needs to be made.

Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang is attempting to pin this on the Secret Service, when they HAD assigned that area OUTSIDE the perimeter to’LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT who WERE in and around the building and should have prevented ANYONE from being on the roof.

Side note:

The reason the Secret Service sniper wasn’t initially given permission to shoot is likely due to concerns that it WAS a member of the LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT sniper team on the roof.



Ultimately, it all comes down to a bad choice for a site to hold a rally by the Trump campaign and a FAILURE by LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT.



Side note.

The Secret Service AND local law enforcement agencies are stretched to their breaking points protecting Trump, his extended family, and these vanity rallies, along with protecting those whose lives Trump has put in danger with his targeting rhetoric.
