We saw the blood on live TV during the shooting, Trump was clearly grazed and hurt.

From that angle it’s even more obvious it was staged. No sense of urgency to get Trump to safety. Taking their time to make sure they got all the photos they could.

It’s only when he emerges from the scrum that there’s the first sign of blood. Security weirdly lets him stand directly in the line of fire for the fist-pump photo. If it had been a real assassination attempt that photo op would have gotten him killed.

There was no sign of an ear wound when he went golfing the next day. The bandage only appeared when people got suspicious at the RNC.

Yes, secret service issues were apparent and addressed due to this fact. And Trump addressed why he did this: one, to let his supporters know he was okay and two, he was very worried that if he didn't let his supporters know he was basically alright, he might have unexpected 'not survived' when taken away.

If it had been a real assassination attempt that photo op would have gotten him killed.
