should I try another Loving Wives story?

For me, as I write and think, the Loving Wife cannot be a "bitch" and the husband cannot be too meek or submissive. I know that there will be negative feedback anyway, but I always want the extra-marital sex to add to their relationship, not negate it.

Candy striper is rounding the corner into the home stretch, so still time, but time to decide if this is what I do next.

Post on LW only if you want to infuriate and encourage the scrofulous readers. Much of what *could* go in LW will receive more favorable responses in other categories. Cheat with relatives for an Incest tale, or with aliens or mutants for SciFi. He or she fucks around a lot? A gangbang puts-em in Group. I could almost have done that with my last attributed LW story (five years ago, Double Your Fun), but wittols watching their wives cheat was the story's core, so to LW it went.

Husband is intrigued by Wife actually having a date outside the marriage after all this time, and encourages her.

She goes, and when she finds she likes it, she becomes more daring.

Seeing her get more adventuresome turns more interested in her all over again. But now, she's resistant to him.

Good luck with whatever direction taken. I wonder if writers shouldn't write different things here and there to stay fresh.

I think if you post in LW you do so knowing that your score is going to be low by the hateful anonymous crowd. If you don’t care about your ratings, then post away. It’s clearly (I think) the most popular category, but the scores never are indicative of the stories’ quality.

Look at GeorgeAnderson. He posted a MAGNIFICENT story called “February Sucks”, which has been so inspiring at least a dozen people have written their own versions of it. It’s one of the best stories I’ve read, but it’s rated under 4.00.

I thought of this as a challenge. Never read it before. The writing is superb, but the story isn't sensual on any level. It's a painful love story. I can see why it got the score it did.

Genesis of polyamory open marriage

I'm not sure have I already mentioned this outline around here already, and I may possibly someday write on it myself (husband's pov), but feel free to borrow in part or full.

She's younger and was a perfectly naive virgin when swooned, courted and swiftly married by a man who's intelligent, experienced, confident and content to settle in long term monogamy for a change from his wild college days he had spent as quite a party animal with chaotic and often overlapping relationships with likewise confident outgoing, even slutty girls. So, he moves into a large house and worships her as a vulnerable flower of purity. She's happy, but over time is growing increasingly curious, without even really knowing for what.

Until, a man cross her path, a rude, rough macho who simultaneously irritates, disgusts, intrigues and arouses her. She flirts, a completely new experience for her, enjoy her effect on the savage, who's interested and insistent, frighteningly so even, and it progress faster and deeper she intetend. Before anything much happens but after it's already nearly inevitable, she confess her desires and confusion to her husband, likely in pillow talk, assuring it's nothing.

He accepts her need to explore, but demands to meet the guy he's instantly dislike, and that's mutual, but still they hang out together for several occasions, quite openly competing for the wife, successfully both, but never together though, as she "cheats" only to report back in detail, and even plan together for the next step. It significantly changes and diversify their own love making, but even now realizing hubby actually could do that too, she insists to reserve the rough and dominant to her lover for now, and he cautiously agree, but not without warning the guy will eventually hurt her. She agrees it couldn't last, but she wants to explore it.

Meanwhile the macho guy grows even bolder as wife starts to stay with him overnight and over weekends, with increasingly convoluted explanations how hubby has no idea. He's confident he's winning her over for keeps.

Wife feels guilt over the situation and out of that she suggests that her good female friend F is on a rebound after rough end of previous relationship and needs a lift of spirit her hubby could provide while she's having fun with the savage. Hubby isn't enthused about it, but he really like the girl in question, and reluctantly agree to date her, on open terms.

While slightly worried is his marriage indeed failing, he falls for the friend and they seduce each other, for a bit of surprise for them both, as it wasn't so intended. He is open (perhaps too open) about the situation, F feels a bit awkward, but keep it going. Then one night when F is staying over with him, wife unexpectedly returns from her scheduled stay at her lover's, and for great shock for F (who's still worried to be an interloper) crawl right in between them to cry like it was normal. Asked is she hurt, she admits she is, but it ended exactly how hubby predicted, so everything's fine. F offers to leave, but wife says to not even think about it, she needs her too.

The macho guy makes a bit of trouble before going away, he stalks and tries to blackmail the wife until hubby has to inform him in no uncertain terms he knew and sanctioned every step of his wife. What the guy can't wrap his mind around, but is devastated nevertheless. He then writes a couple whining letters to the wife, who admits that she now feels only contempt for the guy. Hubby feels almost sorry for the guy, and although they not become exactly friends, but he finds him interesting in his own way as they do talk and that may or may not help with the guy's depression, but he works trough it. Eventually he does go away, literally, allegedly on his next big adventure.

Meanwhile the friend stays with the couple through this, frowning but entertained by all the drama and actually moves in, as it somehow makes good practical sense as she needs to vacant her previous residence or some such. She insists that's temporary, until she finds a place and/or a boyfriend, but for now they live as a threesome. Hubby jokes it all was just an elaborate scheme by the wife to drag her friend in bed with her, but gets rebuked that they're rather just lipstick lesbians exclusively in his presence.

Neither are particularly serious or in a hurry, but both girls are looking for boyfriends. Wife because she now dreams about MFM threesome, the friend because she thinks she should. Although she's happy to be where she is, but it's wrong, isn't it? She slowly dates a nice, inexperienced guy, but isn't sure where it's going and keeps clinging to her friend's hubby, secretly in ever deepening love with him.

Since it's now understood the marriage is open, girls insist the same is true for the hubby too, even if he claims to not be interested in anyone else, it's only fair the rules are consistent. The hubby decides to call on this when an exotic woman flirts with him in abroad conference or something such. Before anything much happens but it's sure it might, he phones his wife for a permission and then surprise F by asking her too. F try to say she has no say, he insist she does.

Well, he does get the permission for an one night stand, and enjoy it, but also confess he has two wives at home, and gets ridiculed for lying. So he puts her on phone with them, for lots of giggles all around, and all but invitation from the wife to visit them someday. What the woman says she may hold them to if ever happened in that part of the world, but remains rather convinced she's been pranked somehow.

Upon returning home after that the husband confess his deep love for F and proposes her to join they marriage in a three way as formally as it's possible, for what wife very happy agree too.

It may remain open ended especially if the side line with F's boyfriend is developed enough it's clear he's the eventual partner for the wife's MFM fantasy, but that's rather a sequel seed. As is the potential visit of the woman from the conference (is she then revealed to be a domme?), but either are rather just scenes.

Now, it's rather given it would be hated, fiercely, by quite few of certain folks in the loving wifes as there's no cheating as such whatsoever, if wife's cheating on her macho lover with her own husband isn't counted, minimal reconciliation and even that's into a threesome, no burn of a bitch, although the wife grows quite a bit from her initial naive self and may be seen as quite bit of a bitch by the end, no cuckolding as nobody ever is humiliated, except the macho guy humiliating himself trying to hold on the relationship past it's crash, and the husband is mostly in charge throughout, although it may be argued that he may be delusional... but I still believe it's where that story belongs. Group? I don't see all that much focus on the threesome as such even if it's indeed recurring.

I agree that it is hard to say what category this well evolved plot fits into. LW is certainly a possibility, though that might need a bit more focus on the wife to be a good fit.

Well, while it may not come trough the condensed plot points, but I envision the wife be the true protagonist even if the point of view isn't with her. But more in a "the neck that swivels the head" kind of way, her self-exploration drives the events throughout even if it's hubby who appears to be making the decisive choices. Even the romance between her husband and best friend is her doing, and not at all selfless, as she doesn't want to see her go at all and even lust after her new boyfriend herself too.

I read more LW stories than anything else. But most of them are very poorly written and the character development is horrible. The plots are disconnected from reality and the reaction of people to various events shows almost no understanding of what makes people tick. It is clear that most of the LW stories are written by men who have no understanding of our real feelings as wives. So rather than focus on where you post stories I think all writers should be more concerned about the quality of the stories. To do that put time into research. Talk to people and find out what makes them tick. If you want to write about Loving Wives talk to some wives and ask questions to really understand our sexual feelings, desirers and concerns.

Do you wish to troll the troglodytes there? I think LW has devolved since LIT's earlier days. That's why I now post in LW as an alt, to avoid Hypoxia Smurf's catalog from being one-bombed into stinking oblivion. YMMV.

Self Appointed Gate Keepers for Loving Wives

I started writing in Literotica during 2020. I like my characters to be joyful in their sexual situations. When I write a story about a husband and wife who love each other I automatically assume it belongs in the Loving Wife category. Even if that couple end up having sex with other people.

My experience has been that 'Anonymous' and 'User ID that has never written anything' pop out of the woodwork as self appointed gate keepers for the category. They inform me that my writing doesn't belong in Loving Wives and that I would get less than one star if it were possible. On occasion they tell me the story I should have written.

What a load of crap! They judge my story based on the sex they want to read. I tag my stories to avoid confusion about the story I am telling. I have read stories in Loving Wives that went in a direction I did not care for. If my star rating for the story was low, it was because of the writing, not the subject.

I heartily encourage anyone who does not like the direction my story is heading to please find another story. I assure you I will continue to write what I want to write and categorize it how I see fit.

Yes, I am venting a bit, but I bet I am not the only contributor that gets a bit tired of the vitriol spewing from some of these people. The up side is that if the story is good, people will read it, and the ratings will go up. I wish I had a good answer on how to deal with the idiots, but this is the hand we are dealt.

Search the LW toplist for anything recent. Hint: everything now gets low votes, even with many comments and favorites. Post in LW if you 1) want to burn eyeballs and 2) don't care about reprisals. The trogs there project their own misery upon authors. I see LW as a sadomasochistic slime pit. YMMV.

Husband pimps out the wife. She's enjoying the sex while earning money for nest egg. They're saving the money for a trip to Hedo II. She ends up making enough money that they spend a week in Hedo II, then fly directly to Desire.
