The SRAM Eagle is almost $400 just for the cassette, and you couldn't just swap out the cassette.

You'd really have to want to ditch the front derailleur. I also wonder about just spinning that tiny front ring all the time.

This is very cool! I can't tell how the tubing is joined... fiberglass, maybe?
I'd guess it would be a very soft (flexible) ride, but it would be really interesting to test drive one and see.
