I used to live just north of Baseline. We never did much trail riding there, mostly just commuting. But as long as you stayed off of Commissioners and Wharncliffe Rds, it was a really nice place to ride.

Boler is a ski hill. We call it the Byron Bump. Fanshawe is a large conservation areas surrounding a lake. If you park a car, you pay. The other areas to ride are deemed ESA or are covered by no bicycles on open areas general city bylaw. Fascists! 6' wide swathes of mud from foot traffic is okay but a deeper yet only 1' wide path is not! Liability issues I am sure govern this limitation.

Riding areas are somewhat limited in the city itself. The city paved bike paths are quite good. Use a road bike and circumnavigate town by bike safely. Lots of fishing trails by the river are good for MTB use. Quite a bit more roadie riding around. To be expected in town surrounded by flat farmland.

A few highways have a tiny strip 1' wide of pavement to outside of painted white line defining edge of highway. All I need to feel safe. Just as long as I not actually sharing lane with big trucks. Fairly flat country so no epic climbs of any sort. Lake Erie is not too far of a ride. Huron is further.

We have a velodrome.
