signature picture?

the cp offers an option of signature picture, which i'm assuming is the picture below the signature on posts. i've tried several times to add one but it never shows up. is there a posting goal that must be reached, as there is with the avatar, before it can be posted?

Just use the image display code in the normal signature box.

I've never tried the image signature box, so I'm not sure if there's a problem with it, but using the image tag most certainly works. Just replace that bogus URL with the URL of your image, copy and paste into your signature. The site will render it. That's how all my images are displayed.
