Sinegard Academy for the Wayward

Gem

“I think the team can help. But please check all their work. None of us, besides Ravyn, are demon summoners. You can also check with her on a good spot. We tried in the professor’s basement last time.” Gem explained.

She had Angus collect up everyone to help. This included Van, Callo, M’Kael, and Isabeau. Gem could call on the angel Ayil if needed.

It was decided that Spirit Guardian Robot One and Ramzaheed would not be helping in this activity. Both needed to recover or adapt to their new form.

“What are your thoughts about Magdalena. She is due to return soon” Gem asked Isabeau and Kakatal.

Kakatal
“Having an agent of the High Realms is always best in a situation like this. Although my experiences with the Inquisition are rare, and not usually pleasant. My experiences with the Archon have been better than expected.”

Isabeau
“I would agree with The Summoner, but I’ve had less dealings with the inquisition than most. Except when M’Kael is involved. But from what I’ve heard over the last day the Inquisition could do with a little investigating as well.”

“But for now I think we can trust her, at least for the Summoning. After that is another matter.”

Collecting some of the components for the ritual Isabeau, Ravyn, and the Summoner Kakatal loaded up making sure nothing was missing.

Gem, Angus, Van, Callo

10 minutes before Gem was to open the dimension door for Magdalena she was pin against the upstairs bathroom wall by Angus. The Minotaur was kissing her.

“I’ve been a very bad boy… you need to punish me” He growled as his lips moved in and kissed her again. His mouth was wet, and Gem was loving his enthusiasm, his blatant hunger to taste her. He was pressing himself against her, as he savored the kisses. His fingers dug into her arms.

“Angus, I accept your apology” Gem said as he stopped kissing her for a moment. She did not realize it, but she had been squeezing her thighs together in rhythm way. Her pussy was sopping wet and pulsing. She wanted to fuck him, but there was not time. She needed to open the dimension door.

“Angus, I really want you to fuck me, but there just is not enough time.” Gem tried to explain.

“There is, if you cum quickly” Angus moaned. He placed her on the ground and pulled off her panties. Then he picked her up and brought her pussy to his lips as her skirt covered his horns and her legs rested on his big shoulders.

“Now masturbate your clit as I suck and lick on your pussy. Cum as fast as you can” Angus suggested

Gem thought the whole thing was so erotic. A time limit, his desire to please her, and her pussy bursting all over his face. It helped that she was stroking and exciting her clit. He was right, it did not take long before she was moaning and squirming all over his face.

She was massaging her clit. She was very close. She could hear and feel Angus’ tongue licking her. The slippery wet sounds filled her head. Her fingers moved rapidly, squeezing, pressing her clit, the sensations were amazing. She rubbed her swollen clit wildly. Then she was coming, every muscle in her body tightening and then dissolving in release. Her orgasm lasted whole minute and she was still trembling and catching her breath as he set back on the ground.

She grabbed a towel and wiped her face and pussy. Spray some perfume on her summer dress and ran down the stairs.

She met Van and Callo at the spot.

“You are out of breath” Van noted.

“Sorry, I ran here, thought I was going to be late.” Gem said. Then she cast the spell and the door opened.

As they exited the extra dimensional space Magdalena was standing not far off across the quad. Walking towards them she kept her spear for ticking on the ground, her cape flowing ethereally.

“Have you decided what you’re going to do?” she asked looking around. “The Engineer is back. Apparently there is more than one bidder for the demon.”

“The Automaton and the Engineer are at odds in town. It’s going to be an expensive repair. So whatever you have planned, I hope it’s quick, and quiet.”

Gem

“The Automaton and the Engineer? Ugh!” She gasped “Let’s get out of here, and discuss this in private”

She reopened the door and everyone walked through. She made sure no one else followed using true sight.

“The current plan is to free Rayvn from the demon inside her. We’d like you there in case something goes wrong. Your demon summoner Kakatal is going to cast the spell/ritual.” Gem explained as they all headed back to the house.

Kakatal

“Engineer, Automaton?” Kakatal asked. “They’re involved? Then this is more than some simple arch demon making a play for the Mortal realm. This is much bigger than you told me about.”

“When I get the place prepared, which takes about eight hours.. maybe longer. The Ritual will take almost as long. During the ritual I can NOT be disturbed. The circle must not be broken, by anone or anything, no matter what the cause I can’t be stopped or it could rip a gateway between here and anywhere. The Abyss. The Void. The Shadowlands. The throne room of one of the Dark Princes of the multiverse. Or we all simply get turned inside out and after a few hours… or days.. of screaming we finally die.”

The team and some ideas

“Kakatal, you are kind of a downer” Van pointed out as he smoked his cigarette “Not going to be invited to too many parties with that attitude”

“16 hours is a long time, however, we might be able to hold them off. I think as a team we have a chance. However, the engineer seems to be able to shift reality. That is a problem. We are going to need a defense against that.” Gem stated

“There is a spell called forbiddance which will stop all dimension travel. There is an artifact that can do it without the need of a spell” Callo suggested

“How about we trick him?” Angus suggested. “We have a fake ritual, with a fake Ravyn… meanwhile the real ritual is somewhere else. Nail face wastes all his time to discover it was the wrong target”

“Isabeau, your thoughts?” Gem asked

“If we had a fake Ravyn, ritual space, and summoner, that would be an excellent idea. However I can’t cast an illusion of that size or length.”

“Don’t forget we have tracking spells on us,” M’Kael commented. “Several, in my case.”

“Sixteen hours is a rough approximation based on my experience. It could be less, hopefully. Or more, unfortunately.”

“Nor do I participate in events of a festive nature. I find them to be … disturbing.” Kakatal commented.

“An Arcane mark, used in tracking, should have faded within a month. But as it, they, haven’t I would assume a Permanency spell was used in conjunction. Now Permanency is a Fifth level spell, but you have to be of at least the ninth circle Wizard to learn it. So the Caster is at least a Ninth Circle Wizard. A Tenth level Sorcerer could do it. I doubt a Cleric could learn such a spell.” Isabeau informed the group.

“Unfortunately, I don’t know how to remove a Permanent Arcane Mark. I could If I had time to research such spells. But they aren’t in my current repertoire.”

Angus and Gem

“If we can’t get rid of the marks, can we duplicate them? Make lots of M’Kaels and Ravyns for them to chase down” The minotaur suggested.

“The mark is personal. So, we can’t copy it. However, there is a permanent link between the mark and the person that cast the spell. That link is what allows the caster to know where, generally, you are. If the spell was not altered… it also tells the caster your physical state.

For example, if the target is a coin, they would know who is in possession of it. If the target is a living person, they know the current mental state (angry, frightened, happy, asleep, etc) of that person. A person loses its mark if it dies.” Gem explained

“So if we kill M’Kael… and resurrect him afterwards, he might be free of the arcane mark?” Angus asked

“If it was a normal spell yes. But Ravyn has died a few times… and she still has the mark” Gem pointed out.

“Maybe we could trick the caster with the current mental state information? Or maybe we can follow the link back to the caster?’ Angus asked.

“Possible,” Kakatal admitted. “I could summon a demon to track the tracker, but that would take some time.”

“I could cast Telepathy, and block the tracking spell, but only on one person at a time. But it takes concentration so I can’t do anything else while blocking the tracking spell.” Isabeau offered as they walked, hurriedly, through the halls.

“I offer Ravyn as Tribute,” M’Kael replied mockingly.

“Amazing, cause I offer you as tribute.” Isabeau replied, with a smile.

Gem

Gem and the others walked into the room where Ravyn and the others were located.

“Ok, everyone we have a partial plan on how to do this. Any additional thoughts are welcome.

We will try the spell at the professor’s house. We'll reestablish all wards and protections. We asked and hopeful gained the protect from the inquisition. We cast Forbiddance at the right moment to prevent any dimension shifts from happening. This should cause some problems for our “engineer” friend.

“Nail face” Angus added for clarity

“We free Ravyn from the demon… hopefully we send the demon back to the Abyss plane. We’ll need to lift forbiddance when we do that” Gem pointed out.

“I’d still like to figure out these tracking spells” Van added

“Shall we bring our angel friend in for additional back up?” Angus asked

“I can ask” Gem said, making no promises. “Other ideas?”

“Dragons” Callo said.

“What about them?” Gem asked

“I can ask a few to help out” Callo offered.

“Ok… but let’s try to keep the destruction of the campus to a minimum.” Gem suggested. She waited for other ideas.

Stepping forward, Magdalena coughed. “Excuse me, but hoping for the Inquisition to assist you is an irrational thought. The Inquisition helps the Inquisition, and no one else.”

“I will do my best to assist you in whatever manner possible, as I am attached to the Inquisition, but not a member of the Inquisition.”

“It’s best to stay out of Ravenor’s way.”

Looking at Gem, Magdalena raised an eyebrow. “Senior Inquisitor Ravenor was notified several days ago, The Grand Inquisitor is already on his way. And when he arrives, he’s more likely to kill everyone here and annihilate the demon himself. Simply to rid himself of the trouble."

"I've never met the man, but from what I've heard, he's not pleasant."

“I take that as a no” She joked. “Ok, everyone load-up on healing potions and anything else you find useful from the family provisions and stores. Potions are in the kitchen, weapons in the garage, magic items in the study”

“I was hoping the Grand Inquisitor was on our side” Angus grumbled to Van and M’kael

“Power corrupts…” Van commented

“Well, he does things for his own reasons, And you don’t get to his status by playing friends with demons. Or the followers of demons.” Magdalena commented.

“He may be helpful, but I wouldn’t count on it.”

Gem

"Ok, we won't count on him" Gem acknowledged.

After about an hour, everyone was ready. Gem opened the dimension door to the professor's house.

As she and the team reappeared at the professor’s house. She had prepared all the wards and protection spells ahead of time. When the final team member walked back on campus, Gem cast the spell “time stop”.

She stopped the flow of time for everyone but herself. No time passed for any creatures, while she cast all the wards and protection spells. As the last protection spell fell into place, she started time flowing again.

To everyone else, Gem just flicked for second, that was all they noticed.

“That should buy us a little bit of time” Gem told everyone.

The tavern exploded and collapsed as the cube twisted and reformed. Crawling from the debris the automoton targeted the Engineer and lest loose with a barrage of magic missiles and holy grenades.

Space shifted and balrogs stepped from the shadows, summoned by the Engineer, they did his bidding and no other.

The Acolytes of Pain, the Engineer’s allies and associates, blasted debris from their path with chains that had tortured thousands and maimed millions.

Chains wrapped around the automaton holding it still as the chains pulled, stretching it apart until it’s limbs separated and fell to the ground.

Leaving the scattered parts of the automoton laying on the ground the Acolytes of Pain moved to join the Engineer.
