"You have been incredibly...affectionate lately. Even more than normal." Riley murmured as Andre wrapped her in his arms and nuzzled against her neck as she paused to pick up a bottle from their crate. "It makes me think you have something up your sleeve."

"Maybe I'm just making the most of the time and I'm actually a really affectionate guy anyway," he muttered, burying his face in her fur at the join of her neck and shoulder.

"Well, I knew all of that, but this seems even more than normal." Riley said as he buried his face against her neck and shoulder. "I'm not complaining, mind you."

"You complain about everything, even good stuff," he teased, his voice muffled as he seemed quite content where he was.

"And you never complain, meaning I have to do it for both of us." She said as she pulled away from him to make her drink and then lounge again. "Besides, I earn it most of the time."

She pulled the cork from the bottle and poured herself a healthy amount of the spirit before she offered him the bottle if he wanted to drink as well before she settled back into her spot in bed.

"I'm just tired, Koah. Nothing more. If I had known how frustrating this was, I would have taken on another position to help Da." Riley admitted to her grumpiness. "Ma is still not herself either. It's all been rough since we came to France."

"I know," he murmured simply before joining her side, deciding to only partake in a small drink. He laid his head against her shoulder again once his glass was empty, content to lay there in the quiet after a long day. His free hand held hers, and his thumb gently smoothed over the back of her hand, a tiny soothing motion to show he was there for her.

"I've been trying to work up the courage to talk to my Da about us taking over the Yellow House when they go back to Scotland." Riley murmured as Andre held her hand. "I feel like I have a decent amount of money to offer him for it, but I think it might break his heart to know that we want to stay in Norway."

"It probably will," Andre murmured. "A lot is about to change, hopefully for the better. But I think he knows some of your family won't stay in Scotland when you get it back. Either because home is elsewhere now, or because of the memories."

"Do you still feel comfortable about living in Norway? Your opinion matters too." Riley said softly as she looked over at Andre.

"It's the only home I've ever known outside Greece, but I haven't really had time to get attached," he answered with a shrug. "I don't know what a normal home is really like yet. So I'm not sure."

"We'll travel, of course. As much as we want." Riley said to assure him that they weren't going to be stuck in one place. "The Yellow House has always been my house. I was born there. As romantic as Scotland seems, I just don't know how happy I can be there."

"I have no basis for an opinion yet, but I'll let you know," Andre assured her. "I want a home, but I also want to see everything."

“You’re too damned agreeable sometimes.” Riley murmured as she turned her head to look at Andre. “Can you at least disagree for the hell of it?”

Andre sighed dramatically, draped against her side. "I just can't win with you, can I?" He grinned lightly, downing the rest of his drink before sitting up and straddling her thighs with his arms crossed. "Alright then, what do you want to pick a fight about?"

"About anything. You used to be disagreeable about things. Now you just seem content with everything like my Da." Riley said as he rolled and pinned her down by straddling her hips. "I miss a good fight. We always have a good time making up."

"Since when was I ever the disagreeable one?" Andre grinned down at her. "You're the one who always came looking for fights, and all we ever fought about was how you were taking out your anger in the wrong place. I like to think I'm pretty easy-going as long as no one's blaming me for something that isn't my fault. And I don't want to fight about nothing."

Pausing, Andre then added with a smile, "There. That's your disagreement."

"That is the lamest excuse for a fight I've ever heard." Riley said in a sarcastic tone, rolling her eyes as he continued to grin down at her like a fool.

"You didn't say it had to be a good reason." Andre leaned down to nuzzle against her. "It's so easy to annoy you, just by going along with whatever you're on about." He chuckled and stole a kiss.

"You're lucky that you're incredibly handsome. Otherwise, I would have busted your nose a long time ago." Riley sighed as he kissed her and nuzzled against her to make her relax.

"You tried a couple times anyway," he murmured before sitting back and reaching over for one of his bags. The previous summer, she'd tempted him with a jar of sweet but strong-smelling lotion given to her secretly by Jani. They'd never gotten around to trying it out, but Andre had kept hold of it ever since, never having made good on his win in their drake race. "Speaking of disagreements... I believe you owe me a good time after Kennah and I won that race to the fort."

Riley couldn't help the surprised look on her face when he pulled out the jar of lotion from the summer before. "You seriously kept it all this time?" She asked, her heart hammering a little harder in her chest at the prospect.

"Well, after you decided I cheated by doing exactly what you would've done, I decided to hold onto it for either major boredom, or really fantastic make-up sex." He smirked again, smoothing back his messy, curly dark hair. "Or, you know... just to rub in your face the fact that I beat you at your own game."

"So, I would assume that you're bored," Riley said as he smirked at her and pushed his curly black hair out of his face. "And you did cheat. You'll never convince me otherwise."

She licked her suddenly dry lips and let out a soft sigh. "Jani said it can drive a person crazy and make them want to do things they've never considered before."

"I can't imagine the poor souls she's subjected to that torture," Andre chuckled. "And I'm not necessarily bored. But you clearly are if you're looking for a fight." With that, he opened up the jar and a sweet, pungent, but not unpleasant scent filled the ger. Even just the scent made their skin prickle, especially Riley with her more sensitive nose.

Andre set the jar close beside while he leaned down to kiss Riley slowly but intensely, his fingers working at the buttons on her shirt and her belt buckle. "Let's see just how crazy you get," he muttered against her lips with a grin.

"Koah," Riley murmured as he leaned in and kissed her with an intensity that made her toes curl tightly. The scent of the paste made her wrinkle her nose as her fur stood on end in anticipation.

"I'd don't think I've ever lost control before with you." She whispered as he unbuttoned her shirt and soon had her bare to the waist with her belt tossed aside.
