Slave Saviour

She smiled at him and nodded, when he hugged her she returned the hug. She could tell he did care since he was careful of her back. "Are you hungry?" She said softly running her fingers though his fur enjoying the feel of it, though she hated women that had fur coats she preferred them on the animal and still alive and well.

Now that she mentioned it, he remembered he hadn't eaten since the previous day, and he gave her a nod, "Yes... I will go hunt down a deer for us." He hadn't yet grasped the concept that humans had food constantly available. He looked about, "I need a bow, just one arrow, and a knife..."

She smiled and sighed "As much as I wish I could let you do it, I am not sure of the rules with you hunting. We have food here, I am sure I can get you some steak or something? Why don't you let me show you around." She really did want him to hunt because it was part of there culture and what they were but she had a feeling it wasn't allowed.

Kona nodded to her and he followed at her heels. His predator instincts made him very perceptive to the manor's smells, sights, and sounds. It was almost sensory overload, but he kept his wits. Then, he smelled the cooking chicken in the kitchen, and his flat tongue ran over the outer surface of his fangs, imagining what that chicken would taste like. He was so hungry he'd be happy with scraps.

She smiled "I know hunting for you is very much part of who and what you are Kona so I will see about hunting" She smiled at him and opened up the Larder "This is what us humans call a Larder keeps things that need to be kept cold cool. Since this will be your new home and because I really do appreciate you wearing the collar here" She took out a big leg of lamb and offered it to him. "This is lamb don't know if you have ever had it or not" She said with a kind smile.

Kona examined the leg, and his fangs ripped into it hungrily. The exotic flavor made his ears perk up. "This is amazing..." He looked at her, "We never had sheep or lambs, only goats and wild game." He sought out a place to sit and enjoy his meal after making sure there was plenty in the larder for her to choose from too. He wouldn't eat til he knew she had food too.

She smiled watching him and giggled he was cute and watched that he didn't eat yet. Looking back her eyes looked around and grabbed stuff to make a sandwich grabbing some bread and grabbed some chicken as she went to the table to make a sandwich using chicken mostly as she hummed a little bit. "Your sweet but you may eat Kona, you have more manners then most human males" She said happily and sat down once done and began to eat.

Kona nodded once he was certain she'd have a meal, and he tore at the leg of lamb ravenously, missing meat like this after being fed the smallest amounts of oat or porridge mush for months on that ship. He savored every mouthful, and he picked the bone clean as a whistle before splitting the bone lengthwise and finding the marrow, a lovely treat for a predator. Once he was done, he threw away the bones and politely, patiently awaited his new keeper. If anything could teach a man patience, it was three months on a ship, unable to move.

She watched him and could not help but giggle how he was "Did you have enough to eat Kona? want to try a piece of chicken?" She took a piece she kept out and it was at least a mouth full for him as she offered it to him. "Can keep it for later I honestly do not know how much you need to eat to be comfortable since I know one thing we are taking care of the other so instead of saying I will be a good owner to you, since between you and me I don't own you. But I will be a good friend to make sure you are as comfortable as possible"

Kona accepted the last piece with a smile, "You're too kind..." It was gone in moments. He could've probably put down an entire cow if he wanted to, be he didn't want to overeat. But eventually, something caught his attention, ears flicking, sensitive to all that was going on around him. He wandered from Luna's side on all fours, listening, and then he suddenly looked back at her. "What is that sound...?" He was hearing a mandolin in the main hall, being played by one of the servants for the Lady of the House's enjoyment. Kona seemed soothed by the sound, and he looked to Luna for permission to go and have a look.

She smiled "I try to make the best of this for you, I have no idea what its like to be taken from your world away from friends, parents, pups and mates for those who have mated" She sighed a bit and then heard it to. Cleaning up the Kitchen she heard what he asked and nodded "Must be Rosa she is playing a song for my mother. My father once told me I was a mistake he wanted a son not a daughter, and now that my father is having another child. I dunno what will happen once he or she is born"

Kona's ears flattened at her repeat of her father's words. "No matter what happens, I will be here," he stated boldly, offering his strength as her support. He came back to her side and took her hand, meeting her eyes determinedly. That fierce spirit made him so different from any of the werewolves she'd ever known.

She watched his ears and heard what he said, smiling a little bit at what he said and right now it meant everything. When he took her hand in his and squeezed his hand in her own and nodded. "I am glad you are here Kona, maybe once I am older maybe I can get you back to the place you call home."

"And you'll come with me to see it?" He asked hopefully. Few people took time to know a werewolf, and even fewer let them stay wild like Kona for long before breaking them down til they submitted. Such strong and intelligent creatures, all pacifists who didn't like to hurt the humans. Kona was definitely a wildcard in all of it.

Luna smiled at him with a kind smile to her, looking into those eyes of his she nodded. "Yes I can't promise you it can happen because of my father. But I will do my best you should be with your people, not with mine. Dad knew I did not want a pet or a servant but I got a friend instead" A tear escaped her eye as she sighed a bit. "You are a beautiful being and highly intelligent don't ever let anyone break your spirit. As long as I breath I wont let any one hurt you, that I promise"

Kona, being of a different world, was no stranger to the idea of fast friendship or, as he was beginning to feel, fast attraction. He couldn't believe he was attracted to a human, but here she was and he wanted nothing more than to protect her and hold her. So he did. Ears laid halfway back in a submissive angle, he came and wrapped her in his arms. It was not just a simple embrace, it was a silent vow. Among his kind, friends and romantic interests could be found within the course of a day, and could last a lifetime even so. It was in his people's nature to love.

She felt the way he held her and how he looked at her he was very different, but seeing his ears she stroked his muzzle. "You are very unique Kona" She said softly and sighed a little bit. "I do not know why you are so kind to a stranger but I thank you for it" She said with a kinx smile to her face.

"The length of time we've known each other means nothing," he answered simply before continuing down the hall with her til they saw Rosa. Kona listened close and studied how her fingers moved as she played. He was in rapt attention when Murdock emerged, coming to his wife to kiss her lovingly.

She looked down and sighed some she had wanted a boyfriend for a very long time, but her father never allowed it. "I can play the piano myself" she whispered to Kona and was thinking of all sorts of things really, life was complex for her and it always had been, but listing to music or even playing it herself, made life a little bit more calm.

Kona looked at her confusedly. "What is this... piano? Is it for making music?" He'd never heard of such a thing. He only knew drums, flutes, and mandolins.

She smiled at him "Would you like me to play you something? Its mostly made of wood" She said with a kind look to her face.

He nodded and followed along behind her. The piano was in her room, a gift from the servants of the manor for her fifteenth birthday, after years of scraping money together secretly. They loved her so.

She smiled at him with a kind look "Servant spent his life savings on this for me on my fifteenth birthday a lot of the people here like me because I have taken a lot of heat for people. Much like for you, I helped a werewolf get out and when my father found out he beat me almost to death. " She said with a soft smile and then began to play something for him, since her parents were busy she sang it in his language.

"2am, where do I begin
Crying off my face again
The silent sound of loneliness
Wants to follow me to bed

I'm the ghost of a girl
That I want to be most
I'm the shell of a girl
That I used to know well

Dancing slowly in an empty room
Can the lonely take the place of you
I sing myself a quiet lullaby
Let you go and let the lonely in
To take my heart again

Too afraid, to go inside
For the pain of one more loveless night
For the loneliness will stay with me
And hold me till I fall asleep

I'm the ghost of a girl
That I want to be most
I'm the shell of a girl
That I used to know well

Dancing slowly in an empty room
Can the lonely take the place of you
I sing myself a quiet lullaby
Let you go and let the lonely in
To take my heart again

Broken pieces of
A barely breathing story
Where there once was love
Now there's only me
And the lonely...

Dancing slowly in an empty room
Can the lonely take the place of you
I sing myself a quiet lullaby
Let you go and let the lonely in
To take my heart again..."

the Lonely

The lyrics touched Kona's heart. In his culture, people sang what they were feeling, so he thought Luna was truly hurting, and he attempted to comfort her in another warm embrace. "I am sorry you feel such pain..."

She smiled at Kona "yeah well my parents don't want me so I am use to that pain right now, at least I think so." She said with a kind look on her face, running her fingers through his fur and smiled. "But being the daughter of close minded people is hard"
