Goliath
The controller for the portal in his hand, he looks at the green and blue portal, which looks like a black hole. He looks at the group. "This is it people, I am going, do what you guys want." Goliath looks at Lin with a smile, he says. "I love you." Before Lin has a chance to say anything, He turns and jumps into the portal, with the controler in hand.

OOC: I am going to post Moonlight's part, in hope to ge this RP back on track.
Lin.
Hearing Goliath finaly saying that, made up her mind of what she wanted to do. Goliath and Lin had a long history, romantic, exicting, and they both were so in love. It was their work which pulled them a part so many years ago. And, it is that which pulled them a part, which brings them back together.
Looking back to the other, Lin says: "I am going to go with Goliath, feel free to come along if you wish." Lin turned and looked at the portal. "Now or never she thought to her self, then she jumped throw the portal.

Goliath
The room was glowing green, blue, pink, yellow, all the colors from the portal. Goliath came throw the portal landing hard on the ground hurting his left arm, it wasn't broken, but my off a stabing pain.
He got back up onto his feet looking around, he could only see walls. Nothing else. He turned around and llooked at the portal, with the wind blowing out of the portal made it hard to keep his balance.
Then, Lin came through the portal and fell on Goliath, making him fall to the ground, with Lin on top of him. "At least she got a soft landing." He thought to himself as he looked into her eyes. Their lips got closer and closer, and just as their were going to share a kiss, Goliath asks: "Where are the others?" As he looks back over Lin's shoulder looking at the portal.

I understand this RP has been inactive for awile, and you may not get to see this for awile. So to be fear, I will giver every one one week (7 days) to tell me if their in or out.
If after those 7 days, and you haven't got in contact with me, your place will become mine untill I find someone to have it.

How's it going everybody? Just saw this thread, looks interesting, if the other people have dropped out of it i'd be willing to take over one of their parts. This thread's still new, the characters are still developing, so I'd be willing to take on whichever one's available. (male, though, not female)

2 cents worth
Hi guys im just back from a curve ball life threw at me and looking for rp..if you dont mind my 2 cents... what about more than 1 group of sliders. And the portals being unstable so diffrent charcters could pop in and out sevral groups went in but at diffrent times thus causing myriads of time fluxes. well its an idea and it opens it up for alot more chrars, or am i taking to much away from the concept of sliders? oh well my 2 cents.

How about we see what happens, and add a 2nd group if the story line works out. It is early, and we are just getting the group sliding.
You can be a new charicter we meet in a dimenmsion, or you can take a place of one of the others.

I will admit, i am very surprised to see this thread back up and on the board, and a little thrilled as well. I will do my best to post as often as i can. OK....So lets see who we have back now. New people are always welcome, and can take over an old char, or invent a new one that we can pick up on teh new planet, just post your ideas and we can rock, roll and slide the night away.

Standing up, Goliath steps away from the portal to avoid any more people landing on him. After all, Goliath had hurt his arm when he hit the ground.
Using the glowing light from the portal, he looks down at his arm to see some kind of stick sticking into his arm. He left the stick in his arm, to work as a clortage for the blood. He was going to have to get to a hospital as soon as they go back through the portal. Looking back up at the portal. "I wonder if any one else will come along to. They said they would right?" Looking over at Lin, he says: "Besides, we can't wait to long, we got to find a way out of here and look around. We can't stay here to long, I got to go back through and get to a hospital." Showing his arm to Lin, he continues: "I got this stick in my arm when I came through. It is in pretty deep, all I can do is leave the stick in there. If I had a bondage it would be good, it would help protact the wound. Uh, I know." Ripping of his the arm of his shirt, he raps it around his arm acting as a bondage. He then looks around the room. "I hope there is a way out of here."

OOC: Looking good Inkubus
Lin took a deep breath and scanned the dimly lit room for any sigh of an exit. Goliath was in need of medical attention, and they had no food , water or suplies with them, somehting they would have to concider before they slid again. running her fingertip along the cold stone wall, she worked her way around the room, tripping over somehting she had not noticed before.
Laying spread out on the floor was a young man, and Lin feared for a moment that their entry might have been the cause of his demise untill she took a closer look. The nasty looking bump on his head looked like something he might have recieved in a beating. She was relieved to find he was alive, even if he was out cold. This discovery enhanved their need to get out of this room, but she was begining to suspect that has slid right into a prison cell, and things were not looking good.

Watching the portal, Goliath remembeed that Blore would leavethe portal open for 2 minutes. Looking down at his watch, he say that one minute had passed since he jumped through the portal.
Suddenly, Rick full out of the portal. Giving Rick a hand up, he asks: "Are you ok? You got to watch that first step, it is a hard one."

A lot can happen in two minutes. Then again, so little could as well. If they were in space somewhere, and perhaps they couldn't get back to the portal on time, well then, well then...
He had just been the first man to kill by teleportation.
Sighing, he loaded up the time sequence, trying to get extra time though.
It wouldn't work, not without him shutting down the portal now and rebooting. He wouldn't dare do that, the odds of the portal opening up at the exact same spot are about as good as him getting a date with Cameron Diaz.
"Come on guys, you had your fun. You proved that it works, please come back."
Fucking computer hacker. He would certainly be up shit creek if he tried to explain this to anyone.
"What? Lin? Goliath? Yeah, I last saw them on a parallel universe riding dinosaurs. What? No, I'm not on any medication.... Oh, men with white coats? Sure? I'll follow them to the mental ward!"
His heart lept in his chest as the seconds droned on. Were they trying to give him a heart attack.
"Any time now..."

Pain....I suppose thats a good thing...it means Im not dead...I'm pretty sure I dont want to be dead... Im also pretty sure that .....wait a minute... My head swims as I try to open my eyes. Okay that didnt work...odly enough its not the pain that bugs me the most...its the lack of filler...I cant remember who I am... I can tell I must be pretty popular to have been worked over like this...my body was beaten by a real professional... If only I could remember why?
I concentrate on centering myself and open my eyes a bit... I see a bright shining light...I wince at its beauty and mumble something about 'heaven'

Okay that didnt work...odly enough its not the pain that bugs me the most...its the lack of filler...I cant remember who I am... Lin knew there was no time left to think, it had to be now. It had not taken her more than a heart beat to know that this world was not a place she wanted to remain. With a cry, she grabbed Galiath, Rick, and the man they held between them, and plunged back through the vortex, landing them all in a painful heap on the floor of her lab. With a groan, she looked up at Blair and the others.
"I don't supose you got the number of the bus that just hit me?" she rubbed the back of her head for a moment and felt the growing lump. Then thinking of lumps....."We are in need of a medic guys, Goliath and this other guy need a little more than a band-aid. We dragged this guy out of what looked to be a prison cell. He's going to need to be kept in isolation, untill we can be sure we didn't bring back anything infectious with him, and some security to make sure we didn't bring back some kind of maniac. We know the vortex works, but there is going to have to be a lot more planning done before we slide again." She could almost see *I told you so* on the faces of some of the ones who chose not to slide, particualy Blair. "I don't wanna hear it. I know we were lucky to get back alive, and we took one hell of a risk, but it was worth it. The big question now is, can we improve on what we have, and reduce the risks?"
