So... Anyone ever grow a pineapple?

I'm Team Volunteer Coleus. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place! ;)

Wondering if that peacock managed to get him some lovin' that day...:D

Team Volunteer Coleus.... Someone is missing sports. :D

I got some pics of this morning's sky I'll post later for you.

I potted some tomatoes seeds in trays the other day - just ones I'd bought to eat from the store and they've germinated in 4 days. Other seeds are being really stubborn/sulky. :(

Is this what we talk about in this thread?:D

I've got about a week/ week and a half to prep my soil then my zen gardening technique comes into play.; throw it in the dirt if it grows, yay! Altho i'm not that reckless that i don't try to find the appropriate spot in the garden before planting.

Snapdragons and gazania, getting fuller.

Odd thing about this gazania - I bought it some time last summer but didn't get around to planting it. It was almost dead when I put it in the ground. Just one little wisp of green left. I'm glad I put it in the ground. I enjoy the cheerful yellow flowers. And it was one of my sister's favorites. :)

Also, note the volunteer torenia at its base. I'm going to leave that there for now.

I planted some gazania seeds about two weeks ago and have the teeniest shoots appearing from a couple. I've never grown them for seed before and I've prob left it too late but I'll post pics. I love their mad colours!
All my tomatoes seeds have germinated and I've got some sprouts appearing on my supermarket potatoes. All very exciting for a newb :)

I've got a sweet potato aging out to grow some eyes - regular potatoes are a fall crop down here. Too hot in the summer. But sweet potatoes are apparently good to go for this time of year.

The radishes are doing the best so far. Near 100% germination and already over an inch tall. And I'll be curious to taste the carrot greens. I wanted to get multi color but just went basic orange because I don't know how they'll do here.

I've grown tons of veggies and produce in the past - up north. The subtropics is a different animal.

I can't seem to get rid of my tomatoes. They're relentless, sprouting up everywhere. I pulled out 6 plants, and two weeks later there are 20 more. I found more growing in the compost bin.

I've got a whole bunch of veg growing at the moment. It's mid autumn here. Carrots, onions, silverbeet, spring onions, garlic, cauliflower and cabbage. They're going great. I'm keeping an eye out for pests.

Chillies, capsicum and tomatoes about ready to pull out.

Took me a wee while to do the landscaping. I've got the bigger stuff growing down the fence. Smaller veg in the patch.

The caterpillars absolutely smashed my beautiful mint, the fucking bastards. And they've tried taking out my cabbage as well. I don't like to spray my edibles, but I have eco oil for when things start to get ugly.

My herbs are loving the cooler weather. I've got thyme and oregano, parsley and rosemary. I'd put more, but the last time I went to Bunnings they were sold out.

The bare root roses are coming up from Treloar in Victoria. They'll arrive around June, and then I've got a whole lot more veg to go in.

Nice to read that your garden is thriving. Certainly beats a drought.

Yes. We went from the fires to flooding to Covid bloody 19. It's been crazy!

I'm happy with it. And ever so grateful for the rain that we got even though it destroyed a few homes. Sometimes you've gotta take the bad with the good.

I can't wait to try my silverbeet though I love the stuff. Love my greens.

Blah, blah, blah...
Can you grow a fucking pineapple dipshit?

Take this other shit to the lounge if you can't stay on point and just want to blab.

I'm very interested in addies pineapples.

ETA, I just buy mine in a store but it is interesting to see how people waste time. But not you.

Here comes the wind up...

We're having some much needed rain in the UK after a long dry spell. I appreciate seeing everything getting a soak but suddenly I've nowhere to bimble about. Only 8c on the therm but I think my new veg plants will cope: I've got some zucchini, dwarf beans, peas and a couple of varieties of toms that have moved from small pots to bigger ones under netting and the peacocks that are just everywhere :D

That coleus is pretty: my Mum has a couple for houseplants but they'd be short-lived outside here I think. Love hibiscus! I think the remind me of greek holiday where it grew everywhere.
