Exactly how many calories can I burn by masturbating? Is it an aerobic or an anerobic excercise? If I needed to loose, say, 10 pounds, how much do you figure I'd need to jack off to do that? :D

seems to me like it would be more like resistance training than an aerobic excersize.

and I suppose the calorie count may depend on which muscles you use in the process.. and interesting thought though.

Depends on how much you weigh, how vigorously you rub one out, etc. A quick shower session might not help much with weight loss. Try to make an evening of it, with wine, candles, anal penetration, etc.

You can lose a lot of calories if you masturbate... while you are jogging. That would be aerobic, unless you hold your breath, in which case it would quickly become anerobic. So have it your way!

Seems to me about 5 miles a day of masturbating would knock off 10 pounds pretty quick.
 
You get quite a workout if instead of using your hand you lay down and hump something. You really have to go like the clappers since there's nothing actually gripping your dick.

Actually, I was just thinking of this now. I wonder if there would be a market for an excercise machine that combines resistance based workout with a sex toy (either a fake pussy/fleshlight type thing, or a dildo type thing, depending on what kind of workout you're going for). You have the pushing portion be against your thighs and hips (adjustable for height, of course), position the recieving and/or giving ends of the device as appropriate, set a reasonable amount of counterweight, and go to town! :nana:
 
Believe it or not.....

I have a PC/Palm based program that I sometimes use for logging both calories consumed and burned. They list "Sex" as an "other" form of exercise. This program indicates roughly 2 calories per minute for this activity. Not sure if masturbating would be an equivalent activity or not... :rolleyes:

I used to use FitDay to chart my diet/exercise, and sex counted as exercise. The sex could be categorized/charted as "normal," "vigorous," etc. and if you entered the time that you'd spend having sex, you could figure out how many calories you'd burned based on your weight.

When I used FitDay I never counted sex as exercise. It just didn't seem right to say to my husband, "Honey, do you think you can go six more minutes so I can burn exactly 100 calories?" :cool:

To say nothing of the fact that receiving oral sex wouldn't be much exercise at all.
 
A lot of websites guesstimate on how many calories you're burning. If you want a more accurate amount, it's best to use a treadmill. I have a few forumlas written down that can give you the estimated amount (pretty close to accurate, though) based on height, weight, vo2 max, speed and grade of treadmill.
 
Masturbation is aerobic in that it realllly gets your blood to pumping. The heart beating faster and all, the more you pump, the more calories you burn. If you do it for an hour, you can burn 250 calories (depending on how physical you are) I got that from Mens Health. Stll I really think the exercise is better!
