Then why do we need to have guns that can shoot 40 shots a minute?

It is not a question of need....it's the same reason we have cars that go 250mph no one needs any of those and they kill ten THOUSAND times as many people as rifles as a whole do. ....it's fun and we enjoy it.

You also want to make sure that no critters are going to dash across the range into your line of fire. That's kinda tricky to do when you're squinting into a scope.

I guess you missed that part I said something about shooting with both eyes open....

Not exact, no hammer, but probably a 3" or 4' inch barrel...was a nice gun to shoot.
