So...the "Playgrounder # ______..."

I think the playgrounder numbers date back to the beginning of the site, if I'm remembering correctly. Something to do with when the user signed up. Sorry, I'd link the post if I had any idea where I read it in the first place.

Well, no. Not quite. It started some point after the Playground was created. Maybe 2003ish? I just didn't know if *anyone* was counting still. :)

you had to visit th appropriate thread and 'apply'. the OP, whose name i can't recall now - maybe mark numbers will remember, i think he was instrumental in all that - would then grant a number to the 'applicant'.

I think it may have been Mark who gave out the numbers actually- but ya that was long ago.
Bring back some memories, "playgrounders and proud of it" was a great fun thread in its day

Sooo. I'm curious. How did the "Playgrounders and Proud of it" come about?

PG was slightly different back then. it had a different 'feel'.

GB was about the same though. :D

Just said that in PM

It was more zany, wacky-
i said it was like we were teenagers throwing a party while our parents were gone for the weekend, or like an old 1960's rat pack evening

It really was a lot of fun back then, sorry many of you here now missed out on it all. it was a gas!

It sure was different back in the day.....

Looking back at the list and all the people that have vanished makes me wonder what they are doing now....

Hey guys
To G- I don't think so. Not sure there are enough of those group around now. I could be wrong of course, but a lot of folks seem to forget the idea of having fun

T- I recall Daddysangel, she was wild- and we would do everything on those threads to drive a young guy, what was him name, umm, trombonus, a bit batty. He would try to follow our lead, but we got crazier and crazier and he, well, I think we gave him a few brain freezes.
Ahh that was fun
